Erika - try etsy - you can do an alchemy bid on how much you are willing to spend and you will get a bunch of calligraphy artists who bid on it - you'd be surprised - with the economy being crappy you can get some great deals!

That's awesome you can do it yourself Megan

doh.gif Gosh I guess I'm way off on invites, I thought I'd read somewhere that if you're doing a destination wedding to send invites 6 months out? So I thought I was late sending mine out, after reading your responses I feel much better.

I'm sending out my invites the end of the month and giving them until July 1st to reply, only because I'm sure if I make it later half of them will forget/put it off and never rsvp at all. I'm starting to think I should wait and send them out mid June and ask for rsvp by July 15th?

Do y'all think I'm sending them to soon??

Etsy is a wonderful place to buy things! I've purchased many things on there! I'm actually going to get ring bearer bowl from a seller on etsy, I love it because you can get so many things that are different on there! Not your typical department store stuff!

Well, I'm definitely way off as my invites have been out for a couple of weeks, but I'm wondering if there are any other Canadian November brides who are finding that their timing is completely different due to charter flights and packages. Or are there Canadian November brides who are doing travel arrangements differently?

I was planning to send my formal invites sometime in August. I have no idea if this is correct or not! Most of the people who I know for sure are coming (and I want to come) have already booked or are in the process. I did Save the Dates, so the balance of invites are for the people who probably won't come anyway.... I hope it works out!

OK I have a question to everyone just sending their invites out. Are you sending your invites to ppl who have already booked their trips? I just couldn't imagine giving such short notice. But also I am doing a cruise so it has to be paid off by 8.24.09. I sent out my invites in Feb in think with our booking deadline being 3.31.09 it has now been extended to 5.31.09... I just felt like with the economy the way it is I wanted ppl to have as much time as possible to pay on their trips... Am I wronghuh.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
