Trayce your planning thread is amazing!!!! Your OOT bags are kind-of similar to mine. I was wondering how many you took down to mexico? Did you run into a lot of trouble getting them through customs? That's a big worry of mine right now!

Congratulations on your wedding!!

Congratulations on your wedding!!
Thank you!!! We took 36 OOT bags and contents for each one. I made/or had receipts for each box/suitcase and kept it in it and gave a copy to the guest that transported it for us...just in case. No one ran into any hassles, except FI's parents who we had carry a box of glass rocks that we wanted to put in the bottom of the large glass centerpiece vases. The customs people could not understand why they had so many of the rocks and what they were for....I guess they had never seen them before. Other than that, I just made sure none of the receipts totalled more than $300 per family taking stuff for us. I used receipts for dollar stores, etc....they don't even look at them to see what was purchased. If they even looked at all, it was only at the dollar amount. I wouldn't worry too much because as soon as the customs people saw us, they asked if we were going to have a wedding. I guess it's pretty normal to take stuff down there.

do you mind me asking what is otc where you got your maracas from?and looking at your engagement photos your hair looks similar length to mine.but in you dress picture it looks like you managed to pin it up.did you?or did you grow it?
OTC is Oriental Trading Company. Yes, my hair was shorter in the engagement pics. I have been growing it out, but it is still pretty short...right above my shoulders. I knew I wanted to wear my hair up, but my hair is pretty fine and thin so it would've looked pretty wimpy. My SIL and I bought real human hair clip in extention pieces and she added a few here and there to give it some fullness. It matched my hair color perfectly and I couldn't even tell which part were the extention pieces and which were my own hair! It worked out great....a bit of advice, take Bed Head's-Hard Head hair spray. It is so windy and once she sprayed that on my hair, it did not move at all.....not even my bangs! That stuff is great for the Mexico weather!!

I got it from KerryjBrown because I loved her 1st aid kits. She did an awesome job designing the template! I tried to post it, but the file is too big for the thread. If you PM me your email, I will send it to you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
