I've heard that although their is a risk of malaria, the risk is quite small when you are on the resorts and you should only take prophylatics if you are going to be travelling a lot off the resort (and more towards the interior).

Ladies ... I was just reading a review of DT on another site and the gal mentioned all of the topless women on the beach ... Have any of your seen this while there? We will be traveling with our kids and I'm not sure how I feel about my kids (especially my boys ages 13 and 11) viewing this. Not the end of the world but I would like to know if it's common there. Thanks! Suzanne

Thanks so much for posting your review, will go over to read it now.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTING PICTURES:

To post pictures, you need to get a account with Photobucket. You upload your pictures to your photobucket account, then under each picture there will be a link (there are actually 3 links, you want the last one) and copy and paste the link into your thread (either the thread with your review, or you can start a new thread under this sub-form http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/f76/) . The images will show up in the thread, even though the photos are actually located on photobucket.

If you have serious problems doing this you can always email me your pictures (send me a PM and I will send you my email address) and I will do it for you.

Another option is to use any other photo website (picasa web album, snapfish, etc) and provide the link for the whole album. If you do that, the photos won't show up directly in the thread, it will be a link that brings people to another page to go see your photos.

Hi there...Dreams Tulum actually doesn't allow topless women on the beach, there are signs posted as it is a family resort. If it makes you feel better, I was there for 2 weeks and didn't see any!

I've never seen it mentioned here on the forum so maybe it was a fluke. LOL

Can't wait!

I am still debating on which package I'll need ... regarding the video does anyone know what 2-30 pax means? I'm also concerned that I might pay for this video and not even have our ceremony recorded ...

30 pictures and digital cd $440.00

50 pictures and digital cd $650.00

80 pictures and digital cd $890.00

Video Filming 1hr , for 2-30 pax ( Ceremony and family shoots) $380.00

Video Filming 4hr, for 30-80 pax (Ceremony, video studio and reception) $690.00

Video Filming 8 hrs, for 80 or more (Ceremony, video studio and reception) $1200.00

Video Filming 10 hrs, 2 cameras $1650.00

I'm good with everything in the silver package but I'll need to add 2 small bridesmaid bouquets and 4 boutonieres. I'm thinking of downloading and bringing all of our own music ... but adding 1 hour of video. We are bringing our own photographer so I'm hoping they'll substitute that cost for something else ... maybe the sound system. We are getting married here first ... and I'm pretty sure my brother-in-law will "marry us" while were there ... so I wonder if I'll get any kind of credit for that? I'm also still deciding if I want any flowers on the arch ... so does anyone know if I get a credit if I go no flowers there?

I'm just down to the wire and trying to fine-tune my budget.

Any suggestions or info would be much appreciated. Thanks! Suzanne

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
