Invisilign

Recommended Posts

I had invisilign - I would definitely recommend them!! It can be uncomfortable - but it's really not that bad. I had actual braces when I was younger, but insisted on having the ortho take them off early.. and well low and behold a few years later everything went downhill. Braces can be VERY painful but I didn't find invisilign that bad. :)

I'm finishing up my invisalign now. It cost me about 3K with insurance coverage. The only "pain" I've had is the first day of new trays and its not even that bad, its more like discomfort than anything else. My only advise is MAKE SURE YOU WEAR YOUR TRAYS!! I would get lazy sometimes and forget to put them back in and got off my schedule. I ended up getting to the end and had to get re-molded because I hadn't been wearing them like I was supposed to. This time they are in my mouth like 23 hrs a day lol! But are DEFINITELY working. I think its a great alternative to typical braces.

Hi girls. I am a dental hygienist, and I see patients with invisilign all the time. They work great. Make sure you do your homework and compare prices all over. All invisilign trays come from the same company, and the dentists choose what they want patients to pay. I have found places that offer the full system starting at $2000, and other places that are charging $6000 for the same exact thing! These two offices are only 8 miles apart. So definitly shop around.

It varies for each person, and it depends on how good you are about wearing them. In theory you wear each set of trays for 2 weeks. But, that is assuming you wear them often enough. You are only supposed to take them out to eat. It also depends on how your teeth respond to them.

Also, in my case, I have 8 trays for the upper teeth and 15 trays for the lower teeth. My upper teeth are not as out of line - most of the alignment is needed on the lower teeth. So, I'll be wearing them on the lower teeth longer than the upper.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
