Yeah I contacted her last week and she said because of the circs she'd reschedule the day. So I've just emailed her back and told her flights are cancelled and asked for confirmation she won't refund so I can try and get my insurers to pay.

I've just looked at the hotel we've had to book and you want to see the cost of the photos it's huge and no outside photographers. FI said oh well no photographs for us!

I just don't want to do any of this anymore
I feel terrible that you are having to go through all of this. This should be the happiest time in your life!!!! Who is you photographer maybe we can pressure them into giving you your money back. This is just not good business!!! Do you not have the option of waiting another month and continuing with your plans for Mexico? I can not imagine that the airline will continue to lose money by canceling flights for that long period of time. There has got to be some better options for you!!!! This really sucks!!!!

Well girls Ive been running around like a chicken without a head since Im leaving Monday to Dreams. I just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone!

 

Im super excited and confident that everything will turn out beautiful. We had 5 people back out last minute but in reality Im not upset over it, Im actually happy- saved us some money.

 

I will pop in before I leave again...

 

On another note, for those of you who went out to Dreams did you all pack tons of dresses? I think Im over packing. Im taking 2 dresses a day, is that too much, considering Ill be in a bikini all day. Do the restaurants have dress codes where you have to dress up in heels and dresses?shots.gifshots.gif

Nah I'm stuck with my dates as FI is going to Afghanistan beginning of June so its then or never really! bummer innit lol and no she's already said i can't have my deposit back so thats me down $600 as insurance won't pay!! Apparently its not enough that we can't fly there it has to be a problem with the hotel lol

Barbados is beautiful Harty, my friend just got back from there, you will have a beautiful wedding, trust me.

sylvia, that's a lot of dresses! wow! i keep thinking i need all these cute outfits/sundresses for the trip but honestly i will probably be in a swimsuit half the time too. i need to do some serious shopping this week! i need shoes, and time flitted away somehow and now there's not enough time to buy the swimsuit i was going to buy online. crap.

 

i should be more concerned with the fact that i don't have ring bearer's shirt yet, nor anything for him to carry the rings in, don't have flower girl's basket or hair flowers done, don't have anything for the sand ceremony, have no bridesmaid's jewelry or gifts, don't have my own jewelry ... AND of course never heard back from claudia so i don't know what the heck our vows are for legal ceremony or the order of the ceremony so i can make a program. can't make menus either because she never sent me buffet info. it's so frustrating, but honestly i've just about run out of time anyway so maybe it's better this way and less is more?

Cancun bride best of luck!! I know your wedding is going to be beautiful!! Like you I was considering switching and now I am just like screw it IM STAYING..lol I cant wait to hear all your feedback and take lots of pictures.. I know its going to all work itself out and hey like you said if people back out then its less money out of your pocket :) Be safe and have a great trip dont forget about us when you get back..lol

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
