Hmmm...although an upgrade sounds awesome I am wondering what they will do about the Tropical Restaurant rental. Honestly, I think with my wedding being so far out that by then tourism will be back up and they will keep us at the Del Mar. But I guess time will tell...

 

Is anyone having issues with Reyna not getting back to them? I have sent two emails (one on 4/22 and the other yesterday) and have not heard back. The last email that I received was from Gabriela saying that she was leaving. I am trying not to be a pest considering everything that has been going on in Mexico lately but it is pretty annoying.

Jennifer - Nevermind, I totally can't read today hehe. :)

 

Also, I haven't yet contacted Reyna regarding my certificate with apostille as I'm afraid she won't answer me either. I was thinking about emailing her today though. I'll let you know if she gets back to me.

Yes, it is true the resorts are closing as the other brides indicated!!! we are in a scramble to try to switch our wedding WHICH IS MAY 16 over to the MAYA... I need all your help ladies!!! Since, for the past 2 years we have been planning everything at the DEL MAR I now need as much information as I can get as quick as possible about the MAYA/LINDO weddings!!! Please, send everything you have meaning: restaurant menu's, restaurant choices, what is this los vitroles room, pictures of different restuarants, commercial center gazebo, wedding packages, what is the lounge chair setup, rules/regalations to have a legal wedding SERIOUSLY ANYTHING YOU HAVE PLEASE FORWARD TO MY EMAIL!!!

 

Still can't catch a break!!! And yes, they are willing to upgrade all guests from del mar/beach side to lindo!

Thanks for the information! I guess they don't know how long they will be transferring people to the Lindo? I am wondering if my group (arriving 6/21, 6/22, 6/23 and 6/24) will be moved over to the Lindo.

 

Did anyone find out if they can still rent the Tropical Restaurant for the private reception if they are moved to the Lindo?

nope, not staying at the maya we are at the grand... not so good news for us regarding our wedding we have alot of questions and it's a week away... it's sucking right now... especially cuz we had the brazlian restaurnat as our private reception rented out and ummm now not so much!

 

as far as anything at the del mar or beach everything is closed all restaurants and gazebo's you cannot be on the property (we asked) so as far as the tropical you are s.o.l!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
