it was hard for me to find a flight to LaRomana for all our guest, so i found a direct flight from jfk to santo domingo and we have the transfers from there to Laromana which i hear is about 2 hrs. not bad for us since thats how long it would have been from cancum to tulum. i think its worth the 2 hr ride to a beautiful destination!!

I'm so excited to see some posts and hear other brides are looking at La Romana! My FI and I just agreed this past weekend to change our location (was orignally Puerto Vallarta) and I saw a picture of the church in Destination WEddings Magazine and I wondered how i could have overlooked it in the first place! I would love if someone could send me pictures or reccommened at WC. I've requested info on Casa De Campo and Dreams La Romana's website, but haven't heard back from either one of them yet.

Thanks so much! Could you get pics of the different places for the cocktail hour and the white gazebo? The one i have is when they first put it up. Can you also let me know if it is windy at the gazebo and also for the beach at night (thinking either beach or infinity pool for the reception)?
Are you going to use their DJ?

yes i will take pics of all th cocktail hrs and receptions places i will also take pics of any setups i see while we are there. we are really just keeping it casual since its a really small wedding just a total of 10 of us. so we have an ipod and we will make our own party, i guess we will just go with the flow. i had did so much planning for the tulum wedding for a whole year that now im just taking it as it comes and not stressing anything. as long as we get married there im happy!

I've booked my wedding at the DLR for April 22, 2010. I'm interested to hear your feedback on the WC and how smoothly things ran. I'm having problems with the WC getting back to me in a timely fashion, sometimes it takes her up to two weeks to get back to me. She does seem nice though.

Basically I want to hear about everything!!!! I can't wait for your review when you get back. Take lots of pictures. Most importantly enjoy your wedding!!! Congradulations!smile72.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
