BDW Pashmina group order! Reply by May 11th!

Recommended Posts

Hi Girls!

So I am wanting pashminas for the ladies a our wedding. I have been procrastinating for WAY too long! HandbagsCentral posted a while back on another thread that they would be willing to do some kind of discount for the BDW girls if we did a big order. I know some of us asked on that thread about it but they never replied. So I emailed them today to see what kind of discount they would offer and how many we need. they replied saying that the discount would depend on the size of our order. So i would really like to set this up for us!!!

Right now I need to know who is interested and how many they are wanting and color! Here is the site: Scarves

I would like to do this soon as our wedding is in August. So I'm thinking I will let this thread go for about a week and then run a tally to give to Handbags Central and see what our price would be. They are already decently priced so this could be very good for us! So I'll run the tally next Monday, May 11th!

So I'll start us off! I am wanting 20 total: 10 in PA10 and 10 in PA17

This is probably going to sound very ignorant, so please pardon me for a bit.

A Pashmina is completely different than a sarong. Is this correct?

When I look at a pashmina, I think of cold or cooler weather, and this is an accessory to wear around your neck or as a shawl. Is this correct?

I'm confused, becuase I want to order a sarong for my girls, but I see everyone ordering pashmina's, and am wondering if this will be worn on the beach. Sorry for sound a little clueless. But if you can wear this on the beach as a swimsuit cover up then I would like to order from this site.

Thanks!

Don't worry about it April! Pasminas can be warn like a scarf or a shawl. these ones are of pretty good size 70"x30" Most of us get them for the reception cause it can get a bit breezy at night and you want something light to wrap around you.

I personally wouldn't use these as a sarong, but they are definitely big enough you probably could if you wanted. Sarongs are a great idea though! We bought them for our girls in Bangkok for $3 each!

Jac - you might want to see if Trisha (tsleege) still has the spreadsheet that we used when ordering ours. It might save you some time organizing it. I had like 200 emails about that when we were putting it together, but I didn't keep them anywhere! And I usually keep everything, darn it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
