WOW Paul!!! Its so great to hear the vendors doing what they can to make this the best wedding ever for the brides who are sticking it out!

Thanks Alyssa for the input. Yael I'm soooo sorry to hear what you are going through, but there is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel. There are several girls who have had to go through last minute rebookings and there stories are on here and soon you will be one of those amazing brides who pulls off a FABULOUS wedding in such a short time.

I feel for you girls so much...These pregnancy hormones can't handle reading this thread anymore! I'm trying to stay calm, my wedding is still quite a ways away.. Still feel so sad for all of you who have had to cancel and be put under the pressure to plan something somewhere else in so little time!

I'm sure this will die down come December, but I just ordered my invitations last week and planned to send them out right away, now I want to wait. I'm having second thoughts about even sending them out, and maybe just having a wedding at home sad.gif We are expecting a baby in six weeks, and I'm not sure I'm comfortable inviting people with the chance that this is still crazy like this and have them possibly lose that money. I'm also concerned about taking a six month old..if it's still a concern I won't want to be going because I can't leave my baby at home with anyone cause anyone I trust to leave a baby that young would be coming with us...I'm torn on if I should just change my plans now and save myself the last minute stress sad.gif My FI is telling me I should wait and see...My TA recommended we wait to send out the invites for sure otherwise lots of people will say no for sure right now...

Summer - No reason to cause yourself extra stress with a baby on the way. December is a long way away. I guarantee your TA wants the business...just wait and see. That's what we're doing and we're supposed to be leaving on Wednesday! I'm sure it will all blow over in the next few weeks...it will be fine if your invitations go out then. :)

By the way, I've been trying to stay strong throughout this whole fiasco. So far we've only lost one couple and a toddler out of 56 guests. Everyone else is waiting until Sunday to make a final decision on canceling. I just got an email from a friend of a friend that is at the Royal now. She is freaking out since Canada implemented their travel ban. Apparently they are sending flights to pick everyone up and if they're not out by May 4th they may be stuck in Mexico until June. What if the US does this? I'm not necessarily worried about catching the SF, but I am worried about being quarantined in Mexico. I hope the US would do the same thing and give us a few days to get out. I mean, they have news in Mexico so we can stay updated. Any thoughts?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
