Any Bavaro Princess Brides??

Recommended Posts

Hi midnight24. We are seriously considering this resort for a wedding in November. Flying from the west is more expensive than Toronto so the package for this hotel is reasonable, compared to some and it is kid friendly. I've read on trip advisor that the rooms need updating, and there were some really poor ratings-What was your opinion of the rooms? Where did the bride get married, beach or gazebo? We're thinking of having supper in one of the a la cartes and then just going to the disco. Do you have any info on the disco? Love to hear any and all comments. Thanks so much.

I'm guessing that you have the wedding package price list. I'd love to see this since I have not heard back from the wedding coordinator. You could email me at msbriss@clearwave.ca . So this package probably would not include the hotel. We are quoted just over 1800 from calgary, and this is air and hotel, but nothing to do with the wedding.

the rooms were huge. we had a king size bed and a tv accessible to see from the bed. the mini fridge was restocked daily, the bathroom was huge. we only got face clothes once the whole week from the maid so you may want to bring your own. there was no plug for the bathtub but i used a glass to keep the water in and it worked fine. the ac kept the room cold. no complaints there. i thought the bed was comfortable and i have no problems with the room.

my friends got married at the gazebo. it was really beautiful and more private than the beach. on the beach there were lounge chairs and people around the whole time (i saw a few wedding happen while i was there). our friends had a band play and the carts were decorated nice for the bridesmaid & groomsman to show up to the site at. sparkingly wine was served after the ceremony while pictures were taken.

the dinner was at an al la carte -chopin. i'm not sure if they paid extra for it or not. there were 54 of us, and the tables we set nice with white clothes and all together for us. that restaurant is buffet so you go up and get what you want. the food was good, i'm vegetarian and i found lots to eat no problem.

we drank at the lounge bar every night and then went to the disco. it was fun, cuz there was a group of us. the disco seemed to play the same music every night, but to be honest it just made it funny for us as each night passed. some may find it boring, depends on your group. the disco is inside of the casino. you can drink at the disco for free and take your drinks out to the casino, but you if you order a drink at the casino you have to pay.

if there are any more questions let me know.

Me and my fience are planning our wedding there too...YAAAHOO!!

Although i've been emailing the coordinator for a few days with no responce. I'm getting nervous.

I'm trying to finalize the prices along with the additional money for the wedding packages and the room rates...a lot to do with time runnign out:)

I'm so exited and I think I'll actually enjoy it when I get some firm prices. I'll feel much better.

We got engaged at the Grand Princess resort in Maya Riviara in November. The resort was beautiful and fantastic.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
