SHE STILL DIDN"T ANSWER THE ANY Questions though> she is ON CRACK. WTF!! I give up. F...them, We together, I think know more of what is going on. so i will plan with what we know and they will go with it and honor it or I WILL GO NUTS- so kathy when you have to come get your apostille in person, you can get me out of jail. Not worried, cause I will have company. Danielle will be there waiting for me. LOL

That's good at least it's a response THINK POSITIVE as my FI says right before I punch him LOL! Luv how they pull a bait and switch so sorry so sorry and no answers. Hey I have the same plan as you if sh*t goes wrong I will have no patience, I wrote a document that outlines things down to seconds it's so detailed and easy to read my 8 year old sister understood it (so I figured if an 8 yr old can follow it they should have no problems well that was over rated)! Ahhh, yes, the first line in bold on the very 1st page says we will be arriving at Iberostar Grand on May 11 bewtween 1-3pm, so what did reyna do after I sent her this document (told her to read it and sign/fax it back) she made our meeting appt. for May 11 at 11am (which I won't be THERE DUH), and listed prices I already had listed and told me I didn't list them than said she can't sign document! that was my losing it point! And my FI doens't understand why i'll make channel 5, so Gail I'll be waiting for ya, it'll be fun maybe we can get sold on the black market once in mexican jail or join the drug carretel crew, so many possibilities to choose from I can't wait! LOL

lol Gail, you are too funny! I will definitely keep you and Danielle company in a Mexican jail if I have to. smile120.gif I don't know, I've read on the Mr. Iberostar boards that some girls waited up to six months for their apostille to come in...that is crazy! Sometimes I think I should just go down to city hall here with DH and have another civil ceremony. But then I think, well why the f*** did I pay EXTRA to have a civil ceremony in Mexico if I was going to have another one here at home?

Aimee - Gabriela's pretty good at corresponding in a timely manner in my experiences with her, I just wished she was more forthright at our pre-wedding meeting with her at the resort about what we were getting for what we were paying. I hope you find her easy to work with too. :)

Hi Girls,

Thanks for all the info! I am still new to the forum and its been so helpful! We have been doing alot of shopping around of resorts and still keep coming back to the iberostar! I had a few questions that I was hoping someone would be able to answer for me:

1. How many people can fit around the garden gazebo? The chapel?

2. If we choose to stay in the Lindo or the Maya would we still be allowed to use the gazebo and the tropical restaurant?

3. Are there any other options for a private reception? I thought I saw a photo of a reception held in the breakfast buffet restaurant (la laguna at the Maya I think?) If so what are the costs?

Thanks so much!! Also "FutureBotter" this is "FutureLanning" thank for recommeding the site =)

Hey and welcome! I hope you stick around the forum to let us know how your planning is going! I was married at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach/Del Mar in February, so I'll try to help you as best as I can. :)

1. I'm not 100% sure on a specific number, but we had 16 guests and they all fit inside the gazebo, I have seen pictures with chairs outside of the gazebo too, so I'm sure they could accommodate a slightly larger group if necessary.

2. If you stay at the Iberostar Lindo/Maya, you will not have access to the garden gazebo as your ceremony site. It is only accessible to guests of the Beach/Del Mar side, the reason they do this is because each "resort" (each side of the property is considered one resort) only does one wedding per day per resort. If you do have your heart set on a gazebo, there is one in the shopping plaza that Michelle ( beachbride08 ) used for her ceremony and it was lovely. You may want to look in to this. There is also a "gazebo" on the Lindo/Maya side which is a pyramid of sorts above the wave pool, in Michelle's review she stated that she opted not to have her wedding there as the location was in much need of paint touchups/repairs. I do not know the answer to the tropical restaurant question but my guess would be that you would not have access to this either if you were to stay on the Lindo/Maya side.

3. I have read on this thread that some ladies have or are considering the convention centre on the property for a private reception but I myself do not have any insight or information on this.

Hope this helps! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
