Iberostar Brides....POST HERE!

Hi My Lindo girls,

So Michelle, or anyone else that is aware, is there an extra charge to book the Rehersal dinner reservation? There will be 24 of us. We were going to do the Italian. And the Steakhouse for the wedding. Same as you I think Michelle. :)

We have 64 people coming to our wedding at the Del Mar/Beach.

We are having a welcome/Reception dinner for 64 people at the Japanese Resturant and they are not charging us extra. They only required that we make it for 8:30pm. We did pay extra to have a cocktail hour before the dinner and we are renting out the Aqua bar with drinks and apps. My wedding is 1 week from today we leave this Friday!! I'm sooooooo excited. I will make sure to post full details when we return. Thank you all- this site has been a huge help!

Question - How far in advance is everyone sending out wedding invitations? I sent out the STD's last summer. We ordered the wedding invitations and got them last week (I wasn't expecting them to come in until the end of April). We spent the weekend putting them together so they are all set and ready to be dropped in the mail box. My wedding is June 25th. Is it to early to get the invites in the mail.

Thanks!

Jenn

The rule of thumb I believe is Two months before the wedding. So you are right on time! My wedding is July 5, 2009, and I just ordered them today. So I plan to get them out the beggining of May. We are having two invitations. One for all the people coming to Mexico, they are boarding passes. And my MOH is making Announcements/an AHR invite to be sent to all.

Hey girls!

I am back but I'm going to have to keep this short and sweet for now (sorry)!

My wedding at the Lindo was absolutely PERFECT and the Iberostar complex is AMAZING. I plan on starting to work on my review on the weekend and I'll try to answer some of the questions that have come up in our thread. (I'm super busy with work and have hardly had time to catch my breath since we've been back).

I just thought I'd check in quickly. I promise I'll get my review and some pics up on the weekend!

Kristin

There is also an additional $18 per person charge. When we arrive there will be cold appetizers and salads. At 7 pm dinner will be served (choice of Skirt Steak or Grouper). We will have our wedding cake served at the reception (instead of after the ceremony).

She did tell me that if I wanted a cocktail hour before the rental starts at 6:30 (say from 5:30 to 6:30) that there would be the $12 per person charge for drinks with appetizers.
ok now i'm really confused. Yes i am renting tropical I was told it had to be 7-11. So cocktail hr 6-7 and price as i told you. Renting tropical for 800 also, but never told additional 18 pphuh.gif? THEY ARE STRESSING ME

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
