Hey Outdoor Girl 1010 - The week of my wedding is not flexible so as soon as the Riu came out with you being able to book your date of the wedding for 2010. I had my travel agent look into prices....the prices she came back with are a little more than I expected but I don’t really have an option of when I can go (March 15-20 is the only week people from our families can go).

 

So how it worked was the price they gave us was the absolute highest price that we are going to pay - and when prices come out in May/June if they are lower then we get the lower price. The deposits of $200.00 per person were really to guarantee you are going – but realistically anyone can book at any time they are just not “guaranteed” to get a seat (as there are very limited seats out of the city I live in). Basically right now our parents, and close family members have booked – I suspect more of a pick up on bookings when the actual prices and schedules come out.

 

I hope you can understand this….sometimes it is hard to explain…. if not let me know and I will try again...

My planning is going very well. I do not like to put things off so im sure im ahead of the game for most. I picking out my dress this weekend save the dates will be printed this week sometime going to look for FI and best man and my dad outfit this weekend. OTT bags are almost done I'm just holding off on the bigger items intill i get a better head count. What about you how is your planning going.

Hi Girls!!

Would anyone be interested in sharing a photographer for their wedding in March 2010, preferably March 17 - March 31. I am getting married March 28 2010 and planning on booking Michael Steingard. Not sure if anyone is familiar with Phil Steingard but he is a big wedding photographer in the DR and Michael is his nephew and his pictures are just beautiful. His website is MICHAEL STEINGARD

If we can get a few brides around that time frame he will be able to cut us all a really good deal so let me know!!

wow you have a lot done...I am a lot like you I like to make decisions and get it done. I have my dress (picked it up last weekend) my Save the dates are done and out, Also have the grooms, bestman etc. outfits picked out I just have to go and get them...more than likely this weekend....OTT bags is where I am lacking... I am unsure what do to - what did you decide to do?

Can't wait to see your save the dates when you get them....
