Iberostar Brides....POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Good to know it is happening to other people, not just me. It is just frustrating because there are things I would like to plan that hinge on their answers...and we leave at 4 AM on Friday!

I wanted to do a 'photo video' of FI and I when we were younger and then as a couple....so I asked them if they could provide a TV/DVD or projector. They said it would be $350 to rent it- which I think is INSANE for something that would last 5-10 minutes. I find it hard to believe that they don't have a TV/DVD they could set up for me somehow!

Anyone else doing something similar? If so, how?!?!?!

Maybe instead of an electronic picture slideshow montage you could make some sort of poster with the same pictures and put it up where you are having your reception? I didn't do anything like that but it would definitely be more cost-effective than spending $350 on a projector rental. Good luck!

I experienced the email rejection too. Seems like it's definitely something wrong with their email. Hopefully, it's resolved quickly.

As far as the TV/DVD, I would think they would have something available being that there's a huge convention center onsite. If it's structured for business mtgs, they should have video equipment/projector readily available for presentations. Just my two cents.

The email I sent today even was SENT BACK to me! I am worried that their email is down or that they changed email or something. I have LOTS of questions I need answered before we leave in a week! ARRRGGG!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE either get me the contact info for the other WCs (at the Grand, Mar/Beach) or get me the new contact info for the Lindo/Maya WCs?!?!?!

I'm starting to get nervous here..... TIA!

Hi Trevess,

I am sorry you are having no response. I got an email yesterday for Toni, here is the address: weddings.lindo.maya@iberostar.com.mx Probably the same you have! ...maybe the server is down?

I hope you get through! Good luck!

I have an email address for the Del Mar which is: weddings.paraiso@iberostar.com.mx

The telephone number to the Iberostar chain is 011-52-984-2800 (that's the number you dial anywhere in usa it has country code in it so no worries about looking it up).

I know I went through the same thing ask before for a month! So call down there and ask for there fax number that's how my TA and I stayed in touch with them when there server went down last time! You will just have to fax things back and forth or call mexico. Hope it works out!

Happy Monday! :)

I am still working on my BDW review but just in case anyone was interested in reading my trip advisor review on the GRAND I will attach the link so you can take a peek. Obviously this was focused on the Grand and to make a few special comments to the employees that made our stay memorable, but my review for BDW will focus more on the actual wedding day and leading up to it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
