I would just maybe tell them that if they plan to keep booking that they will not be included in any excursions unless they pay for themselves and that they wont get things like wedding favours since they are already bought. i wonder what people think the RSVP date is for since they never seem to follow it? lol

All the brides that have been saying this has happened to them are making me think that when I make my invitations that I will write this is the RSVP deadline and if you decide to book after this date you will not be included in the special activities outside the wedding and won't be getting things like a welcome bag (but in less words lol)

haha that is what I should tell them! they won't be getting a cool OOT bag! hee hee hee...I can easily change the numbers at the venue and welcome dinner but I may run out of the small things like travel sunscreen...well guess what the late bookers will just be SOL on that wink.gif

I can change my numbers with the resort but I wanted to have that done by now and we are ordering OOT bag stuff and flip-flop favors and that order has to be in this weekend.. so even though, I'll probably be annoyed but give in like you, but I guess they just won't get favors..
yep...these people that booked today have been totally wishy-washy for the last couple of months...that is it...no favors for them...I already bought everything!

i totally feel for you! we have had about 10 people rsvp yes & book after telling us since we decided on a DW about a year ago that they would NOT be coming! we never thought they'd be able to make it, and therefore, totally under-purchased favors, OOT bags & contents, etc. we are SO excited they are all coming (i had been getting pretty down about no one coming for awhile), but what a PITA now with the last minute running around (on top of all the crap i procrastinated on)!

driving to cabo with a can of tuna ... wtf.gif ... so cool that he made it there any way he could! but still, LMAO!

Andi, you're a better person then I am. I told people ahead of time if they aren't booked by a certain date, they can find there own way to the wedding from the ship. I gave my final count to my wedding planner for taxi's a while ago.

I think some people wait until the last minute hoping to get a better price on the trip. I think I am just going to buy a few extra items for the OOT bags. I am not going to go over board at all, but just a few extras.

Most people don't understand all the planning etc there is to a DW. I know in the beginning when I was planning I was totally unaware of all the planning.

I totally get it Andi. I have everyone booked and things are getting prepped for my 30 guests. Now I'm hearing rumblings about another couple possibly coming. I said that's great and all, but my RSVP deadline has long passed. They're more than welcome to come, but I have no idea where they're staying! (We rented out 2 private villas and every room is filled.) They would have to find their own lodging and find ways to get where they need to be on their own. There also would not be any OOT bags for them. It has always bothered me that people ignore RSVP dates (not just for weddings, but pretty much for everything). I'm not putting up with it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
