So I just had my first fitting last night. It is bad that my dress attacked me? I have two scraps on my arms from pins! I'm such a klutz. FMIL came with me and it was the first time she saw the dress. She also bought these earrings that I loved, yay! No pics yet though. I'm sorry!

OMG! I'm getting close too and man I am feeling the stress especially with my weight loss. I cannot get rid of the last 10 pounds! What I have left to order are: my hair flower and bridal party's hair flowers, place cards, wedding favors and I may be ordering personalized coasters and menus. I think I have more things, but I need to sit down this weekend and write everything down.

We're almost there, girls!! smile29.gif

I had my dress fitting week before last and I forgot to take pics... It was really big on-top when I bought it but now it fits perfectly.

My bridesmaids all now have their dresses and my mom found hers last weekend.

Still left to do: veil (trying to make a birdcage), vows, programs, menu cards, welcome letter (and possible gift- depending on # of guests) FI's suit and wedding band, and buying the rest of the bridesmaid & parents gifts.

Wow-- under the 2 month mark! It really crept up on me.

I didn't even think about a welcome letter, I really need to get cracking at my oot bags. I have all the stuff I just need to iron on the transfers. I am going to my mom's tonite to work on a father daughter dance. do any of you have your music picked out? Are you bringing your own processional and recessional songs or just going by what the resort has? I haven't tried on my dress for abouta month, when I did I was just so happy it zipped up. I guess need to try it on and make sure it fits good. I will be so lucky if I can get by without doing any alterations. Good luck ladies with all you have to do!!!! Are all of you doing bachleorette parties? I am having mine the weekend before I leave April 25.

Hi,

I am definitely feeling the stress. 6 more weeks til we leave for Florida. I did my welcome letter from a template I found on here. I'm having a dressmaker customize a sample dress from an A-line to a trumpet dress. So far so good. One more fitting on the 23rd. I have my BD session 4/11 and will have them by 4/20 so I can get the book done on Blurb just in time. Next I am focusing on the vows and music play list.

i am starting to officially panic at how much i have left to do. i am terrified that my dress is just not going to come in on time to do all the alterations (they keep telling me it will ship from the manufacturer in late march ... um, that's now, right?). i guess i'm worried because the bridal shop had really bad reviews online, but i went there anyway and ended up having a really good experience with them the day i found my dress and ordered it. i'm beginning to think maybe the crappy part comes now? (thank you, mom, for the worrying gene you passed along to me!)

the other biggie is that i bought a bunch of OOT stuff a LONG time ago, and apparently underestimated how much i would need, since suddenly EVERYONE is coming. i can fix not having enough actual bags by buying different, better ones for the bridal party. but all the other stuff requires a bunch of running around ... ugh!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
