Anyone heard of, or buy one of her dresses? I just stumbled across her web site, and she has some STUNNERS! According to her bio, she was head designer for Maggie Sottero for 10 yrs...you can definitely see it in her style.

Just thought I'd throw her out there. I'm probably far behind the times and just hadn't heard of her before now.

I tried a couple of her dresses and loved them. They were a little too ballgown for me at the time (last May) but she's since had a couple of collections that have more variety in them. Very well constructed gowns with lots of lovely details.

If this one had been around when I was looking at dresses, it would have been a serious contender!

Girl, you know you need to quit! haha...three months til your wedding. If you're anything like me, even looking is going to cause problems.

Sooo...I put money down on a Maggie recently, BUT....this Tolli is a serious contender now. I may even get both if I can find a good enough deal.

It's speaking to me. It COMES IN MY COLORS for crap's sake. The thing is Ivory with metallic gold threading....I think she loves me. Can you hear her? "Savaaaaaaaannah....I love you....and I NEED a home...."

Y'all are not even going to believe it, but I just bought that Tolli gown today! I found it on Ebay, from a bridal shop trying to get rid of it's 2007 gowns!! I'll take that as a sign dammit. IN ivory and gold....I am not even joking.

Maybe this is a sign. lol..I didn't hear any angels singing and haven't even tried the thing on, but oh well...sign enough for me.

Savannah you have no idea how much FI HATES that I order or book something (dress, venue, flowers, photographer, etc.) but then continue to look at stuff, just tempting and tormenting myself with past decisions. I can't help it blush2.gif hehehehe. So I'm not even gonna go in detail about how I'm a 4 DRESS bride, yes I said 4 -- not 2 -- but 4, as in 2 + 2 = 4. Yep call me crazy BangHead.gif that thread will be made shortly once I get pics of myself in all 4 dresses!!!

Anywhoo, I absolutely LOVE that Tolli gown, it's exquisite!!!!! I found my second Maggie on Ebay too, for $99 -- see I have good reason for accumulating all these dresses. hehehe. cheesy.gif So if it's cheap enough, how about wearing one of them for your TTD (if you were planning on having one)? Or like me, I am planning on changing during our reception -- and even then I'm still left with an extra dress *sigh* wink.gif

My dress is a Sophia Tolli - Vivienne. I LOVE IT! The picture of the dress on her website doesn't do it justice...it's so washed out and you can't see any of the detail. I can't wait until it comes in and I can go for my first fitting!!

MarieSam, I'm also a four dress bride. LOL. No worries. But...I paid full price for three of my dresses - I only got one off ebay - but is was 34 dollars!! Oh well...

OK, I'm not even gonna trip with myself anymore after seeing you FOUR FREAKIN DRESS ladies! hahahaaha!! I can only IMAGINE what Billy would say and the decible level in which he would say it. I'm already gonna be keeping enough secrets throughout this process...where on earth would I stash 2 more dresses? He's pretty unobservant, but I dunno...lol.

The dress was $199 w. $30 for the shipping/insurance! It retails for $1275! The cheapest I've found it (and I'm still looking just to make myself even happier with the deal I got) is $925 from a discount distributor. I'm STILL grinning so wide my cheeks hurt. I mean, what are the odds I would stumble across that dress in MY colors and MY size so fast? It's crazy. The lady who was doing the auction for the shop was like "I'm so glad this worked out for you...what luck!" and she ain't lyin. woo hooo!!

Now, I'm off to walk around the park so I can be sure the damn thing fits. lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
