Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

I actually have the wedding coordinator that replaced Gaby and she seems to be pretty responsive. She answers questions within a couple days at least. I asked her a couple questions the other day and thought I would post the answers. They might help someone:

1. What are the options for a rehearsal dinner?

First about your rehearsal dinner, if you want a private area in any of the restaurants we have, for been private has extra charge for $12 usd + 15%serv +10%tax per person, even for children.

2. I have 4 children attending the wedding. Can you please tell me what the price per child is?

The prices for the children are half price from the charge for additional people. Wich is $42 usd +15%serv + 10%tax per adult so is $21 usd +15%serv +10%tax per child.

3. Do you think a wedding on the beach at the beginning of November is going to be too windy?

About the wind, November is kind of windy, but you have a good time, 4:30 – 7:30 at the beach will be fine, but we can wait to see how the weather is when you arrive to the hotel.

Do you all think this would be possible? Or would Claudia have a problem with it?

I emailed her like 30 good questions, so as soon as she responds I will post them here for everyone to read!!

When I asked about using outside vendors, I was told no, but I know girls in the past have used other florists. I feel like everyone gets a different answer.

i have the spa prices too, but uploading the attachment for that keeps failing. sad.gif

O*M*G.... Ok I found a link for all those dolphin lovers. Half of this cost and children do it for free with a paid adult!

This is good news; I actually just emailed my TA asking about this. I didn't really want to pay to hire a DJ for ~20 people, but I know we'll need the sound system. Thanks for the good info!

I think this was a recent policy change at dreams. I am sure this is due to Dreams not wanting to be responsible or even look bad. If an outside vendor does not do as they promise it reflects poorly on Dreams, but I am sure they have some that they work with. Maybe ask your WC for a list of those that would be acceptable. good luck

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
