i'm missing all that stuff (and more) still as well, but oddly i'm not freaking out yet ... i probably should be! i finally ordered jewelry for my bridesmaids yesterday.

oh marie, you are *definitely* an oddball but i don't think the fact that you've not done anything has anything to do with it--LMAO! congrats on losing so much weight that you need a new dress ... that rocks!

Just found the GM outfits !! All The Havanera Co. at JC Penney, on sales !! I'm so glad ! Just remaining : the groom ! And the ring bearer... I'm getting started on all my DIY stuff : programs, menus, door hangers, hanging tags for OOT bags and hangover kits, welcome letter, who's who...

Hey girls,

I see so many of us doing hang tags for the doors or signs, ect. I was going to do it, then I decided not to, now I'm back on again for signs for everyone's doors. What do you girls think? I really can't make the decision!!

So this Tuesday is my BD shoot! I'm so excited!! We have alot of stuff packed up already. My dress is home and I love it as much as the day I bought it. Wednesday we have my mom's fitting and my fitting for my AHR dress.

The drama has slowed down it seems. We now have 1 big limo bus taking us all to the port for the cruise instead of 2. We managed to get my new MOH's dress. We didn't even have to get it rushed!

I am kinda sad I'm not going to have the original plan bachelorette party, instead we're just going to go to a super nice dinner then hit a casino or 2. It will still be a ton of fun.

I have all my clothes for the week of the cruise. All the wedding morning of shirts came in, they are super cute!! I went to Target, found a bathing suit cover up in a turquoise color for when I get my hair and makeup done.

All the AHR stuff is done for the most part. The invites are out and RSVP's are coming in. The place card holders and candy bar favors are ordered and in. Just the seating chart and place cards need to be done for that. I'm tossing around the idea of doing something a little more for the centerpieces. Right now I have heart shaped vases with sand and colored mini shells in them. I'm thinking of getting some of the fish netting and putting it under the vases. Then maybe seeing about getting a bigger conk shell or 2. We also have votive candles around the centerpieces for everyone to have 1 to take with them.

Oh ladies, the pressure is on.. i feel it coming.. lol! i have been going in to my seamstress about once a week.. since she has alot to do.. and im nervous about the way its all going to turn out... for alterations is just under 400$ steep? (shes converting the back to a corset back from a zipper back, adding a bustle, hemming it [my dress is lace :S] and fixing the straps) what are your opinions on that price..? lol.. i guess i just dont know what the going rates are for alterations..

ALso, how are you going about making the door tags?

got some stuff done on friday with my mom. we did koozies (iron-on ... didn't turn out too well so i may not use them, or just pick out the best ones and give to bridal party only), added ribbon & fake orchids to raffia fans, made thank you tags for favors, and painted mini-maracas in my wedding colors. the only problem is now more people are coming than i originally thought, so i have to buy more stuff, which means nothing is totally finished, lol.

my flower girl came over to try on her dress and it fits her perfectly. we went shopping and bought her shoes today too. :)

fiance and i also got everything together for our apostille document requests, which will be dropped in the mail tomorrow morning (there was a miscommunication that made us think we didn't need these, which is the only reason we waited so long)!

stupid double posts ... why does it do that??

ok, edited again to say I'M stupid. it wasn't a double post this time ... i just saw my previous post as well and thought this one posted twice, lol. dumbass me.

i was responding to cattie about the door hangers ... i'm back and forth on it as well. if i do them i will do funny "do not disturb" signs saying something about them being hungover from partying too hard with the newlyweds, not anything that indicates their whereabouts, posing a security risk.

I can't believe May is so close already! smile29.gif I'm finally getting things together too.

Sent out my invitations last week and got my first RSVP already (from my parents. lol). Also got DIY menus, a "father of the bride" hat, and thank-you cards FREE from Vistaprint.

Went for my first fitting on Saturday (she had first pinned me in a few weeks ago) and the dress is a perfect fit! Actually I will need to watch what I eat and work out for the next 2 months so it stays that way. muscle.gif

FI has finally bought his groomsmen their shirts and ties, and just has to get his suit and his wedding band. My girls all have their dresses.

Found really nice (and cheap!) hair flower at Kohl's this weekend and also found cute starfish necklaces for the bridesmaids.

Now things are really starting to get exciting... Happy planning ladies-- we are getting to the home stretch!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
