looking to get married in PV before July

Recommended Posts

Hello I am new and trying to plan a wedding before July. I know, crazy, but if it doesn't work out we are open for doing something in 2010. But if it does work out great.

I have read so many different opinions on Dreams Resort, Villa Premiere and Nueva Vallarta, was wondering if anyone could lead me in a particular direction.

I have just stared the process, but after reading posts on this site I am also concidering a villa wedding.

My wedding will, or so I think, be around 80 guests. I don't have a lot of time if I can pull it off this year so I am thinking about wedding coordinators any suggestions out there.

For a bride just starting the process any information would be so very helpfull. You all seem to have a good handle on things.

Wish me luck

PS step one is getting my wedding website up:)

It is possible if you are flexible on the date/day of the week. Details in Mexico are easy, it is reigning in the family and at home details like dress, invites and travel that are the challenge.

Do you have a budget or vision in mind?

We are really happy with our Playa Fiesta wedding. Check out the website and let me know if you would like more info on that. Other ideas are Le Kliff, Las Caletas or one of the mega resorts. Im sure the other girls will chime in but the more info you post the better!

I think you could pull it off! Have you found a WC yet? I am working with Vallarta Wedd Planners Puerto Vallarta Wedding Planners - Beach Wedding Planners in Puerto Vallarta I am working with Johanna. They have been great. They also do a lot of weddings at Villas. Johanna has been very helpful and is not push at all. I don't think anyone on here has used them. But so far I am very happy with their services. She is quick to reply to my emails. There are so many locations in PV. Good luck

Hi Klila,

We have shot a lot of weddings in Puerto Vallarta and cannot tell you how important it is to find a good wedding planner. That is the ONLY way to maintain your sanity.

We recommend Kristin from The Dazzling Details. The Dazzling Details

Let her know that we sent you her way as we have worked together for about four years now.

Hang in there and enjoy the moment!

I agree that a WC is well worth it. FYI Playa Fiesta has an awesome wedding coordinator, Lindsay that is originally from San Fran, they own the resort, and she gets back to you within an hour a lot of times. It was really stress free other than being my groups travel agent in the begining!

Yeah, I agree, the most involved thing is to get all the travel arrangements to your family and get them to book their trip etc. I know there's tons of recommendations for TA's on here, I would definitely recommend contacting them if you haven't already. The wedding website shouldn't take too long if you use one of those templates. Good luck and congrats!

The most difficult part about planning a destination wedding to meis getting all the travel arrangements together. Other than that the resort will handle most of the arrangements.

Im getting married at the Riu Vallarta and having a private reception with about 60 guests. Let me know if you want additional information.

Congratulations! I bet you will be able to find something pretty quick.

I just confirmed my date two weeks ago at the Four Seasons in Punta Mita and they are comping us 2 nights to go down and visit the sight! They assign you a wedding coordinator once you sign the contract and when you go down to visit, you meet with the florist/cateror/hair stylist/photographer/etc. Although you are only required to use their services for food and drinks, they offer these services for you as well.

I have already seen so many great ideas from other brides on this site - I am sure you will have no problem!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
