I have a clear starfish bouquet jewel that I can pass on to you. My wedding is in April so I should be able to ship it to you in time for your wedding. Once you are done you can send it to phillibride who can inturn send it to the next person she has offered it to.

I am including a journal with it to track where the starfish has been. I think this would be really cool for the future brides. What do you think?

I am looking for a clear crystal or pink starfish to be passed/loaned to me. I would be so happy if someone has one available. My wedding is right around the corner April 16, 2009. If anyone has one to share I would be so greatful and promise to keep it safe and return or pass to another bride after my wedding.

that's awesome, and i love the idea of using a journal to track the little guy's travels! thank you SO much! :)

i will pm my mailing address. any idea of how much it will cost to ship it to NJ (08077)? i'd be happy to paypal you the cost. do you have a picture of it?

looks like it would go to me (mummergirl), then phillybride, and then kathleenanddan! christinamaria22, i would pass it to you before phillybride, but i don't return from cancun until may 30th ... that cuts it too close, right?

I LOVE this idea!! What a great way to stay connected to BDW brides on your wedding day!! Can I get in on this?? I'm not until July 24th, but would need the starfish by July20th? I will be back on July 26th and could mail it out on July 27th to the next bride! Let me know!! How cute!

I bought my starfish from this website:Bouquet Jewels - Unique Bouquets for Unique Brides. It is the clear one. I want to say it is about an 1 inch to an 1 1/2 across. My mom lives in Jersey and I am always sending her stuff via UPS. It also helps that my company does the advertising for UPS so we get a good deal on shipping :) It will probably be around 3 or 4 dollars.

I am glad that everyone likes the journal idea. I got the idea from my 11 year old son who sent out "Flat Stanley" to all of our relatives. They each spend a couple of days with the paper and wrote in a journal the things they had done together. They then mailed the doll to the next family member. After 1 year, this paper doll had been halfway around the world :)

Thank you so much DC22173. I also would love to Journal the starfish trip. My daughter also did "Flat Stanley" and my older daughter did "Ginger Bread Fred" the kids were so excited when they got the journal back. I cannot wait to read where the starfish has traveled and with whom. Promise to take great care of it. Thanks again.

If anyone has a starfish jewel that they could pass on by the start of May, I'd love to have it! I would be able to send it back out to someone on May 14th (I prefer blue, it's one of my colors).

If not, I'm going to go ahead and just buy one, in which case I'll be happy to send it on to someone when I'm done. If this goes on long enough, some of these starfish are going to cover borrowed, blue AND old.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
