SmugMug Photo Sharing. Your photos look better here.
Amazing photos.

WOW! #38-45 you look like a supermodel! Your profile pic doesn't do you justice at all. Same with photos 257-260 (close up of you laughing as your husband kisses you). You look so glamourous.

I also love the profiles of you guys kissing with the palm trees (the ones where the pictures are really dark) and the ones of you walking on the beach. They did an awesome job of getting amazing photos of you in the dusk lighting. Not all photographers are good at that. I know mine wasn't (she preferred bright daylight). They made the colors of the sky and the ocean look so blue.

I love how they make use of their ultra wide angle lens for some pretty cool shots.

Reminded me of why I initially wanted claudia photo for my pics, they are overall fabulous.

Rebecca&George (can't find the post anymore so I can't quote):

Yay, another June 29th couple! We had heard that there are 3 weddings that day, including ours :-)

For the reception location: even if you've submitted a request, the location is not confirmed until 1 month prior to the wedding. Only the location of the ceremony can be confirmed so far in advance. I was told it tended to be based on the timing of the weddings as much as possible. We'll see!

Are you having problems with being told the resort is fully booked up? We were unable to get 10 gardenview rooms because it will be so full, apparently. So we reserved 5 gardenview, 4 oceanview and 1 oceanfront. Didn't expect it to be so busy in June!!!

About the security threat issues people were talking about yesterday, I asked the Mods to create a mega thread to discuss this issue, as I could see that it was a big concern for brides. You can find that thread here:

http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t38173

That thread also includes links to the other threads, which are now closed so that all discussion stays in one place.

Hey KylesBride! We got the linen suits at Macy's. They were a line of suit that is made by macy's- nobody else carried them. I cant remember the name of the top of my head but can check when i'm home. We then looked at the inventory (with the help of a guy in the men's dept) and got all the right sizes shipped to us from around the country from various Macy's. It worked pretty well. We ended up buying them for everyone. it took a fair amount of coordination but we got a good deal b/c of the Macy's one day sale type things... Good luck!

I had a question for you...we are getting married June 23rd....and have not put any deposit in for the wedding...should I be doing that?

Thanks!

I know some people on this forum haven't had to put down deposits, so if they have already sent you confirmation of your date I wouldn't worry about it. I sent them my credit card information in October and they didn't charge my card until December, so I don't know if its a big deal.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
