Dreams Cancun - Questions for those married here!

Recommended Posts

Well now I am a little worried too Gaby was my wedding coordinator, and I have been trying to get a hold of her to see how I send my deposit. Has everyone sent their deposit for the wedding to Dreams directly, or through their travel agent? Just not sure what to do now.. she had said she wanted the deposit by March 14.. I don't want to lose my date for some reason!

Has anyone booked an external photographer?
I've booked Citlalli with Claudia Rodriguez's team. I informed Gaby and she just swapped my photos with the sound system for the ceremony. Claudia said that they have done several weddings at Dreams.

i don't think you'll lose your date, sadly only because there won't be anyone there to give your date away! this is crazy! they must have an interim wedding coordinator ... there's no way they can go without one for over a month!

Hey guys, I've recently read that people heard that Gaby is no longer at Dreams, but when I called Dreams today and spoke to the sales rep because there was a wedding going on, he assured me that Gaby was still there? I sure hope so. Also, Claudia is here in the states at a wedding expo, so if any of you are trying to get in touch w. her, that is why you cant. He assured me that my date wouldnt be taken. :) That was a relief!

Thanks for the heads up stacy! :-)
I think I saw pictures of the Spa outside area set up for a reception...Maybe I am thinking of something else, I'm actually looking through all the posts right now to see if I can find the pic I am thinking of.
It seemed really nice, but it wasn't inside..it was outside..I think there was a fountain there..Does that make sense?
I dunno..I will look for it...because maybe I have another picture in my head. :-)

Thank you!!!

Thanks :-)

P.S. I am still looking for that specific picture..lol It's driving me crazy...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
