I am planning on sending out a pre-travel letter or brochure about 1-2 months before my wedding. I was also planning on emailing everyone soon to get some information from them (dinner selection and flipflop size)....What do you think about also emailing the pre-travel letter (maybe as an attachment to the other email)?

I think it's totally fine to do it via email! It's certainly a cheaper alternative. I know for me sometimes I prefer things in email because I tend to lose things that come in the mail. If it's in email they'll always have it to go back to. But it's also really fun to get things in the mail, especially for something exciting like a wedding.

If you are going to do it in an email, I would send the 2 emails separately (i.e. send the one asking for information now, and then a month from now send the pre-travel brochure). If you make the pre-travel brochure separate I think you can make it more of a fun email.

I completely agree with Heather! Just make sure though that everyone has access to email and that they check their email. I have some family that is quite old school and doesn't use email .. some friends that never check their emails.

Ok, thanks for your help!

That's a good point, sunsetbride1....I hope that everyone checks their email.

I think what I'll do is send out the first email (requesting dinner selection etc.)...then, I'll determine if there is anyone who doesn't check their email by who responds/doesn't respond..then, I'll send out the travel brochure later...

Only thing is...for some couples, I am planning on sending the email to only one person...then, the other person might not read the brochure..you know what I mean?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
