Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

We hit a cold front so I think that it was a little colder than normal. When the sun is out and shining it is fine but when the sun goes behind a cloud the wind makes it a little cold. I did not swim becasue the water was cold. I think if you don't get a cold front you should be fine. The evenings are chilly so you will need a sweater or light jacket.

Are you wearing a veil?

Apparently the weddings aren't free anymore as of last month, so if you booked prior to then you should be okay, but get it in writing!!!
Thanks for the reply :) But I was referring to payment of private events, from what I understood before, they have just been so unorganized that they haven't been enforcing the rule. So now, they're still unorganized but trying to enforce this rule. But it's hard to pay for a private event, when you don't even have a quote of what the cost is! smile125.gif

So I'm just warning everyone to stay on top of them for quotes, because even if they are slow and not doing their job, they still expect you to pay them 45 days til the event....

I opted not to do the free wedding, because the cost of the room required to qualify for it ends up being more than just booking the room I wanted and paying for a package.

I'll have to check out TA, I've been trying to stay away because my dates coming up soon.

Erika, I know! It seems really confusing and you have to be super-organized to meake sure you are keeping up with your budget! I'm not worried at this point as I am so far away from my date, but i still need to know the costs associated. I'm planning a private event too and the budget keeps creeping up and up!

On another note, I've had my heart set on a beach day...ceremony, cocktail party, reception...but I've heard multiple times that it is really windy on the beach an I don't want something like that to put a damper on the festivities. Does anyone know for sure what to expect?

Hi Ladies!

So I am trying to upload some pictures for you but they are all in .jpg format and therefore are not able to be attached. I don't know much about computers. Could some one help me out? I know this same question has been asked before on this thread but I've been searching for the past 20min and can not find the answer. Thanks in Advance!

Oh, and about the whole final payment thing. We didn't pay for anything until the day of our meeting with the wedding coordinators. I did not even know our final bill until then. I emailed Fabio several times about a week before we left to get my final quote and didn't hear back from him at all. We had a very small wedding so we had an idea of what to expect but I still think this is ridiculous and very unprofessional.

Hi All

Am new to this site. I am from the UK and coming over to get married at the Azul Sensatori on April 20th 2009.....not long to go now! Only wish I'd found this site sooner, anyway hopefully you'll all be able to help me with my last minute queries. I sent an email to Fabio the other day but looking at this thread it seems Tiffany is now in charge, could someone please let me have her contact email as I don't seem to be able to find it?

Thanks

Brownie x x

They are just so inconsistant and ridiculous, it took more than two weeks for them to get me a freakin' bouquet quote. We still have guests booking late too sad.gif censored.gif

Have you heard back yet?

We are going to try and bubble wrap some things, and carry on some things with our fingers crossed :)
Nope, haven't heard back yet. I'm almost about to get my TA involved. If they think they are getting a payment from me on March 10th, they better get moving, cause so far....nothing is planned!

I am looking for Chinese paper lanterns for the reception tables. Anyone know of a good vendor for ideas?

Does anyone know how the resort sets up the tables for the private receptions (dinner). I am trying to figure out how many people can sit per table. This way I know how many lanterns I will need.

Thanks everyone.

Hi beckerba...I too am using paper lanterns as my centerpieces. I believe the tabes sit 8. I'm probably ordering mine through Paper Lanterns, Party Supplies and Chinese Paper Lanterns - PaperLanternStore.com they have a ton of options and colours!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
