Just sent them... It might take some time for the DelMar/Lindo/Grand Broooklet file to get in your email (or so people have said to me) it's a bit large!

Hey ladies,

I have a quick question for those of you getting hitched at the Del Mar... Our ceremony is may 16 Saturday at 4pm in the gazebo and the reception starts at 630p at the brazilian steakhouse... what are ya'll doing for a cocktail hour (we need one to go take pics at the beach and keep are guests entertained before the reception)? So we need our cocktail hour to be like 530-630pm and we had the aqua bar but ran into complications... So I was wondering what other options Gabriela or Reyna gave you guys! Let me know if any...

Thanks!

I am getting Married at the Del Mar at 4pm as well but we are renting out the Tropical Resturant and having our cocktail hour right outside of the Tropcial Resturant. I am doing a cocktial hour before my rehursal dinner as well and Gabriela suggested we could rent the Aqua or the Ice Cream shop- the Ice Cream shop might be an option for you to look into.

I'm getting married on May 2nd in the gazebo at 4:30 and we're having a cocktail hour on the terrace of the Tropical Restaurant. They give you the option to do just cocktails or cocktails and appetizers. Hope this helps!

If you do rent the aqua or ice cream shop what time did Gabriela say you can rent it at and for how long? Where is the Ice cream shop located (is that located by the commerical center)?

Regarding the travel agent, I was debating that same thing myself in the beginning. I have since spoke to many TA and a friend who got married last year and showed up at a resort and they over booked the honeymoon suite, they called their TA and she took care of it and had them moved.

Also, if you have diff people coming from diff areas a good TA can look at diff options on pricing and take care of everything.

Again, I was initally working with three and had someone rec current one she is great. They are a big company with offices all over and contracts with iberostar...she got me great pricing....and has managed everything. As time went on people decided to change their days etc-

jlj- That's an awesome price...what travel agent are you using?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
