Well ladies, I didn't think it would happen but I have another update. It's actually kinda sad looking at those pictures with FI's jacket on the chair cause less than 2 minutes after I posted those pictures for y'all to see my new hair 'do I tried to light my stove and well....another disaster!! We had an old pellet stove that used lighter fluid to start it. Well, the lighter fluid bottle caught a flame and when I went to blow it out it flashed into my face.

yup!! pretty crazy!! I had 2nd and 3rd degree burns to my face and I thought for sure that I was going to have to cut my hair super short cause it got totally singed in the fire. After I got the flames off my face and hair I turned around and my living room was on fire!! So it's kinda funny looking at those pics cause FI's coat was still lying on the chair and I grabbed it on my way out the door so that I could keep warm outside. The chair in that pic is fried to a crisp right now and in it's place is a brand new chair that I actually like a lot better but I still miss the old one!

Anyway, it just goes to show that there are much more important things in life to worry about than my silly hair disaster!! I'm doing great now and if you didn't know I was burned you'd never know it! The doctors say that because the face is so vascular, it heals very well and I shouldn't have any scarring after a year of recovery. and even if I was getting married tomorrow, my face looks pretty normal so I was really lucky!!! I plan on posting pics later so that everyone can see that I'm fine!!

All that matters now is that FI and I are together with our family and friends. As much as I'm still working on details about the wedding, I'm trying to focus more on how lucky we are to be having such a wonderful wedding with wonderful people.

Oh yeah, and my hair turned out ok too. Turns out that I lost about 1/4 of my hair but because I only lost little chunks throughout, you can't really tell a whole lot. I have a lots of weird, odd-lengthed hairs sticking out in places but as long as I wear it wavy you can't really tell!! So much for the hair disaster!! The face and house disaster were much worse!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
