I am getting married 4 days after you...I actually arrive the Day of your wedding!!
I also keep looking at the beach, but not for my Ceremony, more for the reception and the pictures look so awesome! But the wind is an Issue.
I personally am going to play it by ear. I'll be there for 4 days before my Wedding so I'm just gonna see what the weather is like and how the wind situation is once I get down there.
As much as I want it on the beach with the lighted Dance floor & Etc...I am thinking that maybe I'll just have it on the Lobby Terrace because the bar is right there. How do they work that one the beach, do the drinks get butlered?? that could take forever :-(
But Again, I plan to play it by ear

If you go to expedia you cn see all the excursions and prices- but you have to go all the way to the end (as if you arebooking the trip) but you can just get out of it at the end.

People say the prices are cheaper through a TA or the websites vs. paying for them at the resort.

I for one don't want to book anything until i am there (because of the weather) so we're going to play it by ear.

I am doing a beach ceremony in November. I have emailed other brides on this forum and most say that the gazebo is really windy, but that the beach isn't bad. I really ahve my heart set on a beach reception so I am going to wing it. Worst case scenario, I move 40 guests inside:)

They are going to hate having to give me the $1325 back lol mind you i bet they find a reason to hang on to it!!!!!!!! then by the time you get there there will be one less wedding co-ordinator as she'll be swimming with the fishes lol S&M.gif
Hi Marie, I have the same problem aswell - numbershave reduced since I originally booked!! I have tried to get Claudia to take something off the ultimate package but as I suspected she said NO!!! I was thinking about cancelling the ultimate package altogether and maybe going onto another restuarant for a meal, I wonder if there are any within the hotel, which would be suitable!!! What a nightmare!!! let me know what you decide Tracy

I sent her an email with exact times I will need the videographer just so she would be aware of the conflict so neither of us gets screwed in the process!!

So seriously, can you believe how fast our weddings are coming now!!! I started getting a little nervous when I said less than 5 months!!! LOL!! When are you arriving in Cancun?
I am a little concerned by "staff" What does that mean? Will the pool cleaners be doing my video and photography?! LOL! I talked to my TA and she is actually going to go down there in February to knock on Claudia's door. Don't think we'll need to bridezilla on anyone after that! I may fly down a friend/photog who will do my pics for free, or I may enlist cancun studios. Have to see how things work out.

I didn't even think of five months until you said that, WOW. We get to Cancun on the 8th(not sure what time), we should meet for drinks. When do you get in? Are you bringing decorations or anything for tables. I've decided against bringing anything beyond gift bags for the guests. It is so pretty there I doubt anyone will notice missing decorations. Getting Excited!

"Staff" would mean the same as a lot of other photography studios. For example, I used Claudia Rodriguez's studio, but not her, I used one of her "staff" as my photographer. It's the same thing with the photography and videography that the hotel uses, they have a group of people that work for them.

Honestly, most days they have more than one wedding and that wouldn't really work if they didn't have the staff to provide for their weddings.

Did your TA ever hear back from Claudia? Just interested to hear if she received the same answer.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
