This is the suit Shawn wore: Joseph & Feiss Resort Three-Button, Non-Vent,Tan Silk Suit | Men's Wearhouse

And honestly, it was perfectly fine. He only wore it for the wedding and then photos and then after that wore his dress shirt (which was long sleeves by the way). he was perfectly fine. Because it was silk it was REALLY light weight.

My dad's suit was a mixture of materials and his was a lot heavier as a result and a lot hotter.

So would I say go for it... YES.

Thanks for the info on the ATM. That will made everyone's lives easier!!

With regards to the steaming... I picked up a little travel steamer for $15 at Office Depot or Office Max or something. It works really well!! We have a lot of linen involved in our wedding too, so I think it will be great, and even greater is the fact that we won't be paying per item for the resort to do it and even greater than that is that no clothing items for the wedding will leave my or FI's sight! I've seen them in other stores, usually in the "men's gadgets" area - you know with the change counters and remote control organizers and whistling key chains.

The gazebo is beautiful. That's where I wanted to have our ceremony originally, but ended up changing it to the beach.

Do you know if DJ Bob is for private parties only or does he work the disco as well? We rented to disco and Jazmin said the DJ only plays music. We were hoping to be announced as we entered the disco and have our wedding party announced, but we were told he only plays music. So now I'm thinking when are we going to be announced for the first timehuh.gif I have this picture in my mind of walking into the disco and the DJ saying..."for the first time...." sad.gif

Has anyone else rented to disco? Does the DJ act at all as a MC?

sweet sounds like things are rolling along for you. i'm getting legally married here so i don't have to deal with the spanish documents and blood tests. i think it'll just be easier for when i want to change my name. i can recommend my justice of the peace if you decide to take that route

i only have a MOH and she's not bitchy but she is awfully umm...indifferent. she's a lawyer so she's busy at the best of times but when i want things done for my wedding she lollygags or puts it off til i bug her again. doesn't seem to think there's any urgency to getting things done for my wedding when it's "SO far away". as best friends as they may be, they might not realize how unsupportive they're being cuz it's a gynormous deal to you but not so much to them

in regards to your wedding dress, don't worry about what they think. your style might not be their style so they didn't say anything. what's important is how you feel in it and how much your FI will be blown away when he sees you. you're wearing it for yourself and him and not for them

Hey Ladies! I just booked a romantic site visit for April 21st-27th at GBP Tulum. I hope that we love it, because I don't have a good Plan B going for me. My TA is going to see if she can get me a meeting with the WC, so start thinking of questions you might want me to bring along. I'll ask y'all to send them to me a few weeks out, so I don't forget anything.

As far as unexcited bridesmaids go, my sister (one of my two MOHs) actually called me up to apologize for not seeming as excited last time I talked to her. I wasn't even feeling poorly about it, so it was a nice surprise that she wanted to let me know that she was excited. My other MOH seems to be pretty worried about the price (which I totally understand). I'm hoping once the prices are finalized and the money stuff is taken care of she'll be super excited as well. Hopefully your BMs will perk up closer to the date too. If not, maybe have a chat with them to see if there's anything in particular that's bugging them?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
