Tell me what you think I should do

Recommended Posts

I was engaged 5 years ago, but 2 months before the wedding I called it off. I was young and it finally snapped in my head that I was not ready. I bought a dress and never used it. I think it is beautiful and it is still in NEW condition. I just never knew what to do with it. I thought about selling or giving it to someone who is getting married. Some of my cousins say my dress is bad luck now. I don't think it is. What do you girls think I should do with it?

Are you marring the same man that you canceled the first time? If so I say wear it, nothing wrong with admitting your not ready. However if it's a different guy,,, that would be much harder. I personally wouldn't want to marry a new man in my old dress I got for a previous relationship, but that's just me.

I don't think it would be bad to wear the dress just because you bought it for a different wedding, if you wore it that would be one thing, but if you don't like the dress anymore, then its "the" dress for you and you should try to find something else. You should post it on ebay, thats actually where I found mine and its beautiful!

hmmm - personally I wouldn't wear a wedding dress I bought for a marriage to another man, even if the wedding didn't happen. That (to me) would be like Aaron giving me an engagement ring he bought for a previous girlfriend. When I buy my dress I want to picture Aaron seeing me in it the first time - I'm buying this dress for my special night with him. I dunno - I really wouldn't wear it, but that's just me and what I'd do.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
