So, today at the office we had donuts, munchkins, and four layer chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. And of course, it's that time of the month so I've been craving chocolate anyway! I said no to the donuts and munchkins, but I let myself have a couple nibbles of the cake. This is going to be very hard.....

I joined Weight Watchers last night. I have been doing pretty good today. I power walked on the treadmill for 35 minutes(I am REALLY outta shape!) and I am eating dinner and still have 5 points left...

Silly FI brought home 2 pizzas after I told him not to! I don't work tomorrow so its going to be hard to not dig in to those!!!

I followed my plan today! Hooray! We are also doing a biggest loser competition at work so it makes it nice that there are not as many temptations around! My FI is working out at night now. My biggest weakness was always dinner when we would eat together and it seemed like my only kind of bad for me meal was way better than his really bad for you meal. No more peer pressure for me!

Ann - Thank you for running this contest and putting up with everything - I know that everyone appreciates what you do...and your patience.

I've been dieting for about a week now so food wasn't a problem for me. FI though is "Getting bored with diet food" I'm gonna make him a killer healthy breakfast tomorrow to get his interest back :)

Today was so hectic! I did my normal AM cardio with The View then it seems like the day just took off! I had a ton of homework due for the economics class I'm taking over break, and we have an exam tomorrow so I wanted to be sure to have time to do the practice exam today. Also, had to run to Wally, tanning, and get another work out in.

So it's 10:30 here in NY and I'm finally done. So good job to everyone on getting through day 1 and keep up the good work!

Hey Guys

I did pretty well today.

My FI (oh by the way I have a FI now... we got engaged New Years Day Yay... Now I'm not just some gf planning a wedding lol) and I are joining Ballys. He talked to someone on the phone last night so he will be joining Saturday and I'll join Monday (bc I have to work this weekend). So hopefully by the weigh in after next I'll see some results. I was really upset that I weighed in 3.5lbs over what I've been for the past couple weeks. Oh well I'll get there.

Ann my FI was just saying that you are an awesome person for organizing and handling all of this and I agree. So Thanks.

I did pretty good today since I was so busy. I keep trying to get my DH to get his junk food out of the house. He can eat whatever he wants and does not gain an ounce. I, on the other hand, can sniff an oreo and gain 5lbs. I did get him to gobble down all of the left over Christmas cookies in the house. I did not exercise today. Bad girl. Tomorrow is another day to do better. Good luck everyone.

I would be careful with Bally's. I'm a member and they're really going down hill since they filed bankruptcy. They're cutting on classes and cleaning and instead focusing on pushing extras that cost more (like merchandise, diet food, and personal trainers). My last dance class that I went to was so overcrowded that I accidentally kicked someone.

As a side note, if you join the Discovery Health challenge, you can get a month of free membership. I think registration is still going on. The only downside is that last year you got two free months at Bally's. I guess it's a sign of the times.

Hi girls. I'm doing good ol' Weight Watchers. When I actually stick to it, it really works for me. I have 4 1/2 months to go, so it's time to get serious!

My friend recommended to me The Shred (or something like that) by Jillian from the Biggest Loser. I haven't done it yet, but I guess it's a 20 minute workout that really kicks your butt. It's free on-demand on Time Warner, not sure about other carriers. I'm excited to try it tonight. The best part is, you really can't justify skipping a 20 minute workout, so I'll HAVE to do it!

I've added this to the first post in this thread as well, but here is the final list of participants! There is 1 person that keeps telling me that they're going to sign up, but they haven't sent in a weight or payment yet. There is also 1 person that has paid, but hasn't sent in a weight yet (this is included in the total). So this may change, and I will let you know if it does. But as of now ...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
