Hi Ladies

I would like to ask your advice on what you will be doing after the reception, we are reluctant to hire the disco or seagrape but have read they have a beach party Friday evenings so do any of you think that would be ok? It will be just ourselves going (3) & we have a friend who is getting married the following week along with their party.. but we don't know their relatives that well! Would appreciate any advice any1 can give, Thanks!!

I am having a beach reception and can let you know how that goes. I wanted the seagrape but apparently they are having the beach party there on the saturday, which is when we get married...bummer! they are sectioning off an area on the beach for us....can't wait! but we are doing this after dinner at mammee bay...we'll have table and chairs set up, with private bar and we're also renting speakers for about 2 hours so we can have our first dance and just party a bit as a private group....until angela crashes the party! LMAO

Hi Sarah

Its Claire!! Don't hire the disco just for us few, it costs way too much. The beach party sounds fab. We can't do that as we get married on a wednesday. I think we've decided on Mamee bay, but still not sure on the difference between that and plantation. Theres no cost to hire these either, i don't think!

Hiiii Claire, we were not sure did all your families want to crash at ours, especially as we don't know one another! I've got a link if you want to have a look at the Sir John's menu & Mammee bay... I think we'll go for Mammee as Johnny has an allergy to gluten so he's not allowed anything with sauces, it has to be plain food (ish). Also he can only drink cider (magners etc) & I don't think they have anything like that... red stripe is out!! xxx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
