jenny FTB; I've heard the best way to lose weight quickly is to reduce water weight and bloating: as in, avoid salt, msg, and too many carbs. I plan on doing that a few days before my wedding, as I hear it is the best way to lose 5 lbs in just a couple days (and I heard this from my sis who is getting her graduate degree in exercise science). Oh, and Chanti--that is fabulous you only gained 1.5 lbs. during the holidays; the average is about 10 pounds!!!! For me, I've gained about 7 lbs. since Thanksgiving.. The plus side, is that it falls off pretty quickly for most people after the holidays, after your body realizes that there is no more pecan pie and stuffing!

Well...I did it...and I'm back up to 153!! BOOOO!!! LOL
I'm just going to stick with the theory that it's a different time of day that I weighed myself!! hahaha
I have a week and a half to drop 4 lbs! My goal is below 150 for the wedding - actually, with all the good booze & food the 4 days before my wedding I should probably try to loose 15 - 20 before I go!!!

Oh Bridget...I wish I could cut out carbs to do this!! I am a carb-oholic!!! lol
Plus I'm convinced that no/low carbs in my diet is not good for my Crohn's disease - It seems that everytime I got on a salad or veggie soup kick my Crohn's really acts up!! It's so weird - everything that is "good" for me I can't eat! ie, tomato sauce kills me so I have to for alfredo (high fat!) when having pasta - too many veggies kills too! - and when I'm having a flare up I have to go white bread instead of multigrain or wheat. wtf.gif How the heck am I supposed to eat healthy!!?! hahaha

(sorry for the rant...it's just been bugging me lately! I feel a bit better now!)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
