Two questions..

Recommended Posts

okay, I say yes for chairs, people will want to sit

I hadn't thought about how pictures will look when throwing something, but I'm glad Leigh mentioned that.

Now I have a question. I picked up these fake rose petals, they're actually the shape of hearts and they are a bright pink color which is the color I'm using, you can't really tell they're the shape of hearts, but whatever, I bought them after valentines day, so they were like 50 cents a pack, so I didn't spend anything on them, but my question is, is it cheesy to have fake rose petals for them to throw. I had thought about using them on the tables originally but don't think I'll need them. what do you girls think? sorry to hijack!

i wouldn't worry about appearance as much as i'd worry about cleaning them up afterwards. since they're fake i can't imagine you can just leave them laying there w/o it being cleaned up. and who knows if you'd even be allowed to throw them (the resort may have a policy). i am guessing that the fake petals aren't environmentally friendly, but what do i know?!

Ann I was thinking the same thing, I didnt' know if they'd even let me use them, If I have something thrown maybe I'll get the ecofetti or I can have the wc get me some rose petals.

I can always use the fake ones for something else.

I have fake rose petals as well that I got for our table, and I'm waiting on the response back from the Sheraton on their rules for rose petals or confetti on their beach. I'll be sure to post what they said, but with that said, I would be surprised if they allow the fake rose petalsm unless they say we are responsible to clean them up afterwards.

Ok this is the email I got back from the Sheraton regarding petals or confetti on the beach.

In regards the petals as long you do not want the petals back is ok J, our cleanliness staff can pick them up after the ceremony…. The confetti toss, as long as it doesn’t stain, no problem..

Yes on chairs and petals if you like, it doesn't matter how few guests are there. BTW I'm almost jealous, it sounds like a lovely intimate wedding!! We're having our guests blow bubbles as we walk down the aisle . . . I've loved bubbles since forever so it will add to the magic of the day and probably make some cool photos too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
