If it's for any service surrounding the wedding (hair, nails, etc.), I would DEFINITELY book before you go. They were very crowded when I was there, and I still got in a half hour late. The number of girls they have working is also dependent on how many reservations they have, I would guess. If it's for something like a massage that you're flexible about during your vacation, you could wait to book that, although I tried to do that on location and couldn't find a time that worked well.

She told me this as well. I think I am pre-booking so that I am guaranteed a spot. It's screwy though, with the amount of wedding they do in a day you'd think that they would bulk up their staff so they could accomodate everyone.

Hey Ang, did you book hair already? The quotes I got were kinda ridiculous...I was thinking I might just wait til I get down there to get a more accurate quote...plus you have to leave a 50% deposit if you reserve beforehand. My MIL is actually a "hairdresser" so I was gonna ask if she's willing to do my hair....it's simple enough but I'm just worried I won't know how to handle the situation if I hate it! haha

It was pretty steep, ya!! I paid my 50% yesterday so my appointments are booked. I got hair and makeup for both myself and my matron of honour and its gonna cost $300. I didn't want any of the packages and I am having my nails done here *much cheaper* so that kinda screwed me a bit. The packages are a little more responable.

But aren't the packages for spa treatments, like massages and facials, etc.huh.gif? From what I see, they don't include hair and make-up in those packages...at least not from the emails I received.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
