Hi girls, I'm so excited for everyone's upcoming weddings! I agree we need to post links to our reviews here. I wouldn't want to miss one either.

Sara I hope you're nice and warm right now. Nicole, did you leave yet?

I'm definitely starting to worry I'm going to forget something. We leave in 7 days!smile43.gif I gotta get organized. I think everything is done. Just a few small things left like putting stickers on our cupcake boxes.

Wow Kelly - that's coming up fast!! I'm sure you will have everything you need. Just lay everything out & go through your crossed off to do list & make sure you have everything! I"m going to start packing soon I think - I know that I'll end up re-packing a few times before I go, but I just want to get a start on things! I think the main things is to remain calm (will someone remind me of that a week before I leave!! hahahaha)

Hey ladies! I have a few more things to cross off the to-do list:

- I have made the luggage tags for our guests (pics to come)

- I have gathered everything I need to make my veil and have started on it....after my seamstress told me she wasn't able to find any lace to trim my veil (which she was supposed to make), I went out and found my own (which is beautiful) and have decided I can make it myself, how hard can it be.... Thankfully I have more than 3 weeks till we leave

- I have purchased and returned my shoes for the wedding (they ended up being too high for my dress, so now I have to start over)

I have started getting really excited about getting out of here and hitting the beach (as well as getting married). I think I'm with alot of your FI where the vacation is the first thing on my mind, but once I get to plan more with the WC at the wedding location, it will all sink in.

Good luck to those of you who are leaving in the next week!

Post lots of pics!

Meeeeee toooooo!! The suitcases are out and I just purchased some plastic bins to pack all the toiletries & liquids!!

And for the first time I saw panic in my FI's face this morning (sorry but hehehe)lol as it dawned on him that he still doesn't have a shirt (i've only mentioned this to him ummm about a thousand times). He bought one a few weeks ago but it so doesn't work with his suit, he needs to get his butt out there and find another one!! lol

Amanda, how is your weather? I hope you are keeping warm and aren't in all those power outages! It's finally starting to warm up over here in Alberta but lots of snow still!

It totally feels like a dream to me. Or maybe I'm just walking around in a fog. lol I'm not nervous at all and really I'm not even that worried any more about forgetting anything. The stress that I was feeling a few days back is definitely all gone. Funny, that coincides with the fact that I think my FI is starting to get excited/ nervous... FINALLY. geez. :) Every time we talk on the phone he asks me if I'm excited. He went and brought his pants to be hemmed... on his own! He gave me some shirts he needs dry cleaned before we go and today he went shopping with a friend for a bathing suit and some polo shirts for the trip.

I have to go pick up our marriage license tomorrow and we gotta get hitched before we leave! So, I have only a couple of days to get that done. Oh, and we still don't have a place to live, but apparently FI has rubbed off on me because I'm not even worried about it at all. He's right, it takes an hour to rent an apartment and we already have an idea of where we want to rent and know that they have openings. So, it'll happen when it happens. Maybe next weekend before we leave.

Oh, the best part about today... I found out that my sister has a hair appointment tomorrow and she is putting black and red stripes in her blonde hair! Wouldn't a normal person think that that is inappropriate 10 days before your sister's wedding? I refuse to even care or get mad. Nothing can ruin this calm I'm floating around in right now. lol But seriously WTF! Oh, and she's freakin 38... don't people outgrow that stage by 38? :)

Oh wow- now that Christmas is over (Merry Belated Christmas Everyone!!) and it's soon going to be January, I'm starting to feel major anxiety!! But we're back from my parents after a long 5 days with no wedding planning so it's time to get on the ball. We did go to my cousin's wedding on Saturday and I made sure FI paid close attention!! I swear- he acts like he's never been to a wedding! What would he do without me--- hee hee

I feel so sad about the forum too- like we're all moving away! Boooo......

Good luck to everyone who's leaving in the next week!! How exciting! 2009 is going to be a FABULOUS year!!!

My to-do list is getting longer and longer it seems. I took off Friday so I could have a 4 day weekend to get stuff done- FI even took off! My batchelorette party is Saturday! (course I'm basically having to plan it myself since my friends suddenly suck!)

MIL still hasn't booked along with my best friend...ARGH!!! Seriously- what's the issue?! Although at this point, I'd be relieved if MIL didn't come. (whoops- did I say that?!!)

FI and I have jumped back on the working out/dieting band wagon after a VERY fattening holiday! No drinking or eating bad until we leave- except of course for New Year's Eve and batchelorette/batchelor parties!!

OHHH- question for everyone- is anyone worried about getting tan lines once they get there, before the wedding?? Am I being totally anal?! I just don't want to have tan lines in my dress and FI tends to burn after hours of drinking in the sun... Anyone else worried?

Thanks for all your posts ladies! Happy New Year!! Congrats-

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
