Hey Kelly, I am getting married at 4pm too! We are going to be rushed (very!), but I choose that over seeing my FI before the ceremony. The ceremony will be quick, 15-20min max and then we will race off for 40 min. I expect some delays but I also expect some fantastic shots of the sunset and my honey & I :)bunny_4.gif donâ€t worry, you will get some great photos!!

Thanks girls, I'm totally starting to freak out! lol Can't you tell? And its not helping that no one here understands or thinks anything is a big deal. Its annoying me. I guess if our photog will be there at 3, we can do the guys pics and FI with his parents and then us girls and maybe me with my parents before the ceremony. I definitely want FI to see me for the first time walking down the aisle.

Kelly- I totally hear ya on the freaking out stage. It's definitely here!! I haven't been pregnant before but I totally think that 'wedding brain' is worse than 'pregnancy brain'! At work I've turned into this ditzy dummy that can't finish a sentence. FI's are worthless at this point as well as everyone else. It's like they're all focused on THEIR vacation instead of the reason WHY they're going on vacation.

Emotion breakdowns have become a weekly occurence for me.. I haven't tried my dress on since I got it- and I'm putting it off like the plague for whatever reason. Not sure what I'm doing with my hair....future MIL hasn't even booked her trip yet and I still don't know what music we're playing.

It's almost to the point where I just don't even care! Christmas has been a nice distraction though. Once this weekend is over, it's go time!!! I've got to just get it done.

What's everyone doing for gifts to the parents?

OMG~ this is EXACTLY what is happening here too and its really getting to me! I want to scream~ hello, its our wedding! At the top of my lungs. No one is helping me with anything and everything I share with them that I've done is not getting the reaction I would hope for. I just want to get there so I don't have to worry about the details anymore.

I rarely share anything with anyone other than you guys anymore!!! I might show FI something I just got in, etc but his grunts of acknowledgement don't really statisfy the "oh my god Amanda...it's perfect!!" that I am looking for!! That's the biggest reason I LOVE this forum...meeting brides, and bride to bes that know exactly what I'm going through - and are always willing to offer their honest opinion!!!

hehe - I pretty much just share news of items being delivered and decisions being made on here too because FI has a wedding filter on his hearing these days :)

I just figured out what i'm doing with my hair for the wedding on sunday and it was a HUGE relief. i feel like we're almost there with everything! i just need to pull together some photos for the parents gifts, so hoping to take some good shots over the holidays. oh, and i ordered a photo mosiac (picture made up of lots of tiny pictures) for my mom's bridal party gift, so that was the last thing on THAT list :)

i'm getting so freaking excited i can hardly sit still these days!

I spoke to my photographer about pictures at 4pm. I am getting married in Jamaica and he said that is perfect for pictures. He said any earlier in the day and the sun is high in the air and it is too bright. He told me it is a fantastic time for pictures. Just remember it is not like a traditional wedding at home. You should have lots of time to get pictures done. Just remember you are on vacation time. Enjoy yourself!

Okay, I haven't posted anything on here for a long time but here's my new status:

GM clothes came in, they haven't tried them on yet and they don't have shoes yet.

BD photos are done. They turned out beautiful and I just need to get them back from the photographer so I can order the book from iphoto. I would post them but being a teacher, I don't think its the best call.

OOT bags are almost complete. Our mugs came in and I'm in love with them!

My dress is getting final alterations, should be done by Dec 27th.

We have the beginnings of a ceremony script as one of our friends is marrying us and I want to make sure he's got something to say.

We picked the songs for our first dance and walking down the aisle.

Hmmm... other than that a whole bunch of little projects are on the go.

Am I forgetting anything major?

I totally agree, you guys know way more about my wedding than anyone here. And you're always happy to hear about it! lol

We do still have a few things to get done in the next 13 days. FI and GM's pants need to be hemmed. We need to make playlists and download to our ipod. Still have to burn ceremony music on a cd.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
