Sandra - sorry that I didn't respond to your PM but I didn't get one! Unfortunately the bags were ordered from Hawaii and I had them shipped here - I wouldn't recommend it!

How many are you thinking of buying - there is a place on Spadina in China town that sells them for 6 or 7 bucks each if you only needed a few..

Or maybe the I pod option... I have read that a few people have used this. But it does not hurt for you to e-mail Julieta and ask her tell her your budget and she is good at coming up with something trust me.
What do you ladies think of the iPod option? Do you think its cheesy to have that be how we dance as a married couple for the first time? Or how I dance with my dad? How do you think I should lay that out on my playlist? All of those important songs back to back? Or a couple of songs in between??

TIA girls ...

Ok, I need some advice. We have decided not to hire a dj because we couldn't justify the cost for our small group of 28 mostly non-dancing people. We are creating a playlist and using our ipod and bose docking station. My concern is not having a microphone for the toasts during the reception. For those of you that have been there for your weddings or site visits, do you think a microphone is going to be necessary for all of our guests to hear? I've looked into bringing our own mic, but I have no idea how they work and if its possible to plug one into the docking station. Any ideas?

I know for us the microphone was necessary for the reception as we couldn't hear much without it. Maybe talk to Perla about it and see what she has to suggest!?

Ladies - we are leaving tonight unitl January 10 on our whirlwind honeymoon to Chile and then on to Walt Disney World so I won't have access to internet much!

Kelly (KLC77) - Have an amazing wedding - I hope it's everything you dreamed it would be and more - cannot wait to hear all about it when I'm back!

Have a wonderful and safe holiday everyone!

Have a blast on your honeymoon Missy!

Kelly- I second what missy sais about checking with Perla on a mic cause when we were there it was very windy and I remember specifically thinking we would need a mic. I can't help you on hooking one up to your bose station. sorry!

Is anyone going snorkeling as an excursion? I need to ask Perla again about pricing but wasn't sure about the paradisus snorkeling and how that all worked. If you are using an outside vendor- who? and cost pp? Thanks!

Kelly- You are so close! sorry I can't help out on the spa prices. I looked at my amenities list and it has no specific prices.

Hi Ladies!

Kelly - I think that my hair was around $80, but no one else had their hair done, so I'm not sure about BMs.

Yamille - We did a snorkeling tour - arranged it through the hotel with their on site operator, which was great because they picked us up at the beach. We had 30 people, and paid $20 per person all-in (boat, bracelet/pass for the national park usage (the ocean), mask, fins, snorkel, floatation device and guide). It was about 1.5 hours.

BE WARNED - they tell you to wear a t-shirt and no sunscreen (it destroys the reef). They even said no to biodegradable sunscreen. Wear long shorts - literally everyone who went burned the backs of their legs.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
