Hi Lindsay,

They were from the designer Watters Watters | A Design Driven Company Specializing In Innovative Fashions For Brides, Bridesmaids, Young Mothers Of The Bride And Groom, Junior Bridesmaids And Flower Girls They were style number 130 i believe or 135?? They had chiffon fabric that was to be drapped at the back but we cut it off. I loved those dresses, and they suited each of my girls body types... they turned out great, and comfortable too. Watters has great dresses....

Ok, I have good news and I didn't know who else to share it with besides my other LC'ers! punk.gif

My parents and I just decided to go PV in a couple of weeks for a quick site visit to Las Caletas! WAAAAHOOOO! I am so excited! woot.gif

It will be just my parents and I for a super quick weekend trip. My FI cannot go because he has to work and babysit our dogs

I know that LC will be just perfect for our wedding but because I have never been to PV (or LC for that matter) I think if I go and just see it all, my mind will be more at ease.

I just emailed Nicole and it will work out just perfect because the day that we are planning on going to LC there is not a wedding scheduled so Nicole told me that she will have the afternoon to show us around and go over all of the details for our day!

So, now I need to decide where to stay. For the wedding we will be staying at the Vallarta Palace...however for our site visit trip for 2 nights the Palace is a bit on the expensive side ($700 total for the 3 of us! YIKES)....So I think we might stay at a cheaper hotel? Has anyone ever stayed at the Villa La Estancia in Nuevo Vallarta? I am thinking I may want to stay there because we might spend some honeymoon time there? OR maybe the Villa Premiere? any thoughts huh.gif

Andi - that is great news! A site visit will be great! My FI, parents and another set of friends are going to PV for aweek at the end of Feb and staying at the Marival. We have a site visit planned at LC on 2/17 w/ Kelley.

Another note, Meaghan, I'm wondering if you have another link to view your photos? Everyone is gushing about how beautiful your wedding was and I cannot open the link posted! ugh~

Thanks!

Trisha

That is awesome Andi!! You are going to love LC! I'm so jealous. We did a site visit with Kelley back in July and it was absolutely gorgeous. We went out with the day tour and she just deducted the amount that we paid from our wedding package.

As far as places to stay - we stayed downtown at Villa Del PalMar. I wouldn't recommend it (the atmosphere isn't that great and think lots of little kids - don't get me wrong, I love kids but not the type of setting we were looking for)

Anyway, have fun and I can't wait to hear about it when you get back!!! :)

So you wouldn't recommend Villa Del Palmar? good to know...a few of my friends are looking into staying there for the wedding because they think they will be too far away from everything if they stay in Nuevo Vallarta with us! blink.gif So MAYBE if i tell them that it is not a recommended hotel I can convince them to just stay where we are!

I actually like Villa DelPalmar for the price etc. Not sure about the kids because i havent stayed there, but my family has. Not sure its the same one though, because the one we are using is in the hotel zone, not downtown. It is a "budget friendly" option however, so you know how that can be...

Yeah - There are two Villa Del PalMar's (one in Nuevo Vallarta and one closer to downtown). When we got to the airport they brought us to the one in Nuevo Vallarta - it's absolutely gorgeous. Then we realized we were at the wrong hotel. We got to the one closer to downtown and were a bit disappointed. My FI was like, "Sorry you had to see the gold and I could only provide you with the bronze!!" :) It could be a selling point for you Andi, to get your guests to stay in Nuevo Vallarta.

It's honestly not that bad, just not what I had hoped for! But you're right...it's definitely more budget friendly though. We are actually recommending it for families with kids that want to save some $$.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
