sorry, what was the original question?

I can't answer that, so here's a suggestion: toys - little boys like little toys. big boys like big expensive toys.
OK - y'all are cracking me up with the "Man Cave/Room" smile120.gif
Martin already has the garage - that's his "Man Room" cheesy.gif

hehehe go on, girl! ;-)

OK - SOOOO here's what I'm getting Martin:
his big present is a Garmin Nuvi 650 4.3in Wide Screen GPS

I *think* this is the one.... pretty damn good deal even if they ARE selling this cheap at a lot of retailers (I checked! haha!)! I saved like $500-600 off retail pricing (normally $749, I got it for about $190 shipped and all from Amazon!!), and it's one of the highest models (if not the highest)... (I think I soooo lucked out on this tho - LOL!)

I'm pretty stoked about him getting this gift! It's kind of frivolous but hell - that's what Xmas is for to a certain extent... in my book at least! lol

He did mention it and I think he def. has a clue ... but probably no idea that it's this nice of one! :)

I also got him some Black Pumas (he got some awesome brown ones last year for Xmas that are starting to wear out).

And then I think I'm just gonna get him little gadgets and things for his new GPS!!!! WOOHOOOO!!! thewave.gif Oh, and BluRay movies/stocking stuffers and things like that too...

We actually celebrated his bday last night (which is today Nov. the 30th) so for that I got him this:
Stuhrling Original 'Shark' Men's Easy-read Swiss Watch

It was kinda hard to judge his rxn given that we were in the company of friends but I think he really likes it! :) Also got a terrific deal on that - Retail$250, I paid around $90-ish with shipping from Overstock.com

It's tough around here with his bday so close to Xmas! (Not to even mention the economy... aye yi yiiiiiiiiiiiii smile105.gif) BUT Xmas is my FAV holiday and I LOOOOOVE giving gifts to people (seriously maybe more than I like receiving them - I know, I'm kinda odd like that - hahahaha). Plus, I'm totally one of those people who feels like everybody should get their own special BDAY celebration! Soooo I try and make sure that I give at least one "Big" present at BOTH his Bday and then Xmas....

OOOOOOH!!!!! I also talked to my Dad about letting Martin pick out a tiny miniature painting of his. For those of you who do not know, my Dad is a very successful artist based out of Dallas, TX who is soon to be exhibited internationally (can you tell I'm a proud daughter?! lol) www.samuellynned.comMy Dad and I are going to go out to dinner to discuss this with Martin this evening - should be fun! Martin's been DYING for his very own personal "table top miniature" (as we like to call them; about a 4x6 small painting with a killer rich frame on it) Hell - my EX still has a 24x24 painting of my dad's hanging prominently in his "new house" (with the "new gf") so why the hell shouldn't Martin get his own?!!? SOOOOOOOO VERY EXCITED ABOUT THAT!!! He's gonna flip!! Cutie pie!!!! love.gif

Uhhhmmmm what else - oh yeah, on the bday front...I also filled a bag with car magazines (Man room? LOL) and Mike & Ikes (his fav!) & Buffalo Flavored SPicey Doritos. And I gave him a Red Bull with his other present today. He rarely gets these things so he totally appreciates them! Unfortunately the Red Bull kept him (and me!) up most of the night but oh well.... you only have 1 bday a year! hahah Oh man he's gonna enjoy relaxin' to all the rest of later today! lololol wink.gif He deserves it though - he's an awesome guy wink.gif

Ok how do I always end up writing freaking novels??! smile120.gif
Ciao for now!

haha - YES you're absolutely correct, I did misspell the website addy! (Not enough sleep I guess cheesy.gif) Kinda sad when it's half named after you.... LOLLOLOLOL (my middle name is Lynne, and my Dad's biz partner's 10 year old son is named Samuel)

Glad you liked the gift ideas! I have a LOT of extra time on my hands lately... wink.gif

Add another "man room" to the list, only in my case it's the basement. We just moved in October, and Timm has the basement to do up however he pleases. So Christmas is very Ottawa Senators oriented this year, since that's the theme for his basement. So far I have a 3x5 foot flag for one wall, a book that he wanted (In Odd We Trust by Dean Koontz), and a few small things for the stocking. I still have one more item to pick out for him, and it will likely be Senators related as well, I just can't narrow it down enough.

No gifts here really. We bought a big screen a month ago for our new place so that was our Xmas gift to each other. But we are still exchanging stockings. I feel like I got him all of the good stuff in his stocking last year, and I can't think of ANYTHING fun to put in there this year! I'm so stumped. Christmas stresses me out!

We decided to do a cheap christmas this year! With the recent house purchase & our wedding early in the new year funds will be a bit tight!

Desiree, you've already saw what I just (literally an hour ago!) ordered for FI but I thought I would post it for others. I'm really proud of it...and he has NO IDEA! Engraved Puccini Crystal Liquor Set

Good luck with the man room/cave ladies...I'm sure I have one coming in the near future!!

It's so hard to buy for my FI... since it seems he has anything and everything as it is. But I did manage to find something he would like to have (I actually told what I was going to get him for one gift to make sure he would like it.. and he will.), it's a 797F Caterpillar model since he collects those models (and almost has everyone of them...lol). He won't get it until late December/early January since that's when they will be released for sale.

I'll probably get him some North Face snow pants (which he mentioned he wanted) for his skidoo trips. The usual personal items (underwear, socks, undershirts/pants in brands as Tommy, Fox, North Face). A large bottle of his fav whiskey. And other than that I have no clue.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
