This is good advice. I know my dress is going to end up see thru and I never even thought of getting a white bathing suit or something for underneath. Now I'm off to search for something to wear under it and in the water...

And, the ants in the pants just had me totally cracking up!

Ok, I don't even have a location, date (or ring yet! lol) for that matter and I am totally obsessed with my TTD pictures. I spent like hours yesterday on BDW showing my FMIL pictures of TTD's. She had never heard of it, and was so excited with me! Ok, first things first. But the TTD sounds like so much fun! I really want to wear my original dress for my TTD, so I'll have to keep that in mind while dress shopping!

I just wanted to point out that actually if you are wearing white then you should wear nude or beige underneath because it is the closest to skin color so it will not show up in pics. white on white is ok but not the best.

believe me... you are going to love oyur TTD photos more then any other photos. they really turn out so great because you can literally do whatever you want and not worry about anything. inhibitions to the wind always makes for great photos :)

i don't know about you but i always go nude under my clothes...

OHHH you mean actually wearing nude colored underwear.... reminds me of when i was a kid. my parents bought me a beige speedo. i remember being 5 and thinking " ARE YOU F*ING KIDDING ME?" hahaha

but ya. i guess it all depends on the dress. some you cant even see anything once they are wet. if its got layers underneat it doesnt really matter what. you could wear hot pink and it wouldnt really show. but better safe than sorry. most are pretty trasnperant

Hi ladies... <raising hand> I am probably the bride that prompted this thread. I wore a puffy taffeta dress that doubled as a personal floatation device for my TTD shoot with Jean-Marcus in Mexico.

Just wanted to share my experience though with afterwards... I wore my original wedding dress for the TTD session because I felt that I wanted my photos to reflect my wedding day (they were taken the day after) and because so much time and effort was put into finding the perfect dress, those photos I know are going to be my favorites (Jean-Marcus, thanks for the "teaser" photos, can't wait to see the rest!!)! Also, I am a bit of a shopper (that's putting it mildly) and if I kept a wedding dress in the closet after the fact, that would be less closet space for shoes or other clothing items... so I really was OK with having it ruined during my shoot. I didn't take any extra care while wearing it to make sure nothing happened to it.

However, I had read on this forum and some other places that quite often when wearing your original dress it gets dirty on the day of the wedding (dragging on the floor, etc.) and then once you wear it in the ocean/pool it becomes actually clean! Guess what?! Although I tried to sell my Mom on that whole idea (she wasn't buying it), you wouldn't believe it... but my dress is actually cleaner now than after the wedding!

I brought it home and I'm going to have it drycleaned and pressed and honestly, it's as good as new! Now for the closet dilema!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
