I know that sounds kinda like im being cheap but Im expecting a pretty good turnout and im on a budget....
I have an email from Natalia, back when I was dealing with her saying that if I went with the Ultimate Package, I could not use the Silver Menu. She said they do not allow for change/substitutions to the packages.

I asked the same thing in an email I sent a few days ago and she asked me to give her few days to get me the costs. So, I'll keep everyone posted too.

Jacy told my niece she could probably eliminate one of the courses and get an additional entree request. She's looking at possibly taking the dessert out, as she's getting a wedding cake anyway. She also told her something about the chairs at the ceremony as opposed to the reception. My niece asked about the chair covers and bows and she said she didn't know if the chair covers would fit the chairs at the reception but was looking into huh.gif

I have a quick question...Did everyone do Save the Dates for their wedding? If so, what information did you include? If not, how did you let people know that may be interested in going? Email, phonecall, etc.?

Sorry to go off topic ladies! Just something I am trying to figure out this week...

Maybe if the reception is at a restaurant the covers wouldn't fit, given that they already have chairs in there. I would think that if the reception is on the beach then they would use chairs similar to the ones used in the gazebo.

OMG, Bianca! Those STDs are AWESOME! How talented are you?!I am way jealous :)

Truthfully, how hard was it to get those done? Did you print them yourself or take them somewhere like Kinkos?? I want to DIY as much as I can and am trying to figure out what the best way to go about that is (i.e. do I need a new printer, software, etc.). Any tips are much appreciated!

I printed them at work. I used text weight paper tho... Our copiers will not take the cardstock. The text weight is like the thickness of regular scrapbooking card stock. The hardest part is really the designing. You can change it so many times on your computer. Its hard to just be happy with it and go print! You can always make it better. The pockets were a little difficult since I just the super thick cardstock... thats about it.

Well, I heard back from Jacy, I still didn't get a specific quote on the entree selection. It looks like they don't want to quote a flat rate, she wanted to know which menu I wanted to chose from and which entrees I wanted to offer. So I told her the silver menu and that I wanted to offer the chicken and the steak entrees so she is going to let me know based on that. I finally nailed down a photographer, I am bringing a wonderful photographer from Texas. Jacy confirmed that as long as she is booked as a guest there will be nothing else required. I just have to find out if the Mexican government requires anything. And...I also got it in writing that since I have my own photographer, they will supply videography for me in place of the photography offered in the package. So...all good news. smile29.gif I am just waiting for the specific cost of the meals and I asked her to send me a picture of the beach reception area. I'll keep you all posted.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
