You can all now start doing the mundane tasks you've been putting off...printing out menus, placecards etc :-) I've been putting it off too, but I don't have a good excuse:-)

My shoes just came in!!! smile29.gif

I just posted them in the Attire section - what do you think? http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t31823

My sister's super happy about her shoes (she's one of my BMs), so I'm happy about that. She loves shoes as much as me and my mother wasn't into the ones I chose. :P

I also got dance shoes for salsa classes. Woohoo!

Now I'm waiting for my veil. I'm so impatient. I thought it woudl arrive today, but they posted it 2 days ago and it could take up to 2 WEEKS... ahhhhh!!!

My bday is on Monday so my gift to myself is to get everything done w/ the wedding! Which means I have to assemble menu cards, programs, create my seating charts, put together welcome booklets, and print out tags. I know it sounds like a lot, but I really just have to put together a sample & my wedding planner will assemble it all. I already have all of my wedding gear for myself & FI as well as all of the outfits for our wedding weekend & honeymoon so I think this last push will allow me to enjoy these last few weeks of getting married & focus on being in perfect wedding day shape.

Did I mention I'm having my bachelorette party on Saturday? So it's going to be a crazy & fun weekend. I'm really excited!!!

Hi ladies! This weekend I am going to MAC for a test run of makeup. I am also gonna write the letter for my welcome bags and think about place cards. Got to get some of FH's resort wear to the tailor. This week I ordered my favors and confirmed stuff with the resort WC and the manager for the place for our welcome dinner. Oh, and I started tanning yesterday. I think I'm on schedule! Happy weekend to everyone!

That's awesome!!! I hope you have a great time tomorrow night :) punk.gif

I have a 2 day shower weekend coming up on the 22-23... my friends are throwing me one on Sunday and then FMIL decided she wanted to throw one too for all the family (who aren't invited) from MOntreal. Should be fun though!
The last weekend in Nov is my bachelorette. I'm getting excited!

As to thsi weekend: I won hockey tickets yesterday, but gave them to FI and a friend. Tonight I won Celine Dion tickets but gave them to a friend. I wanted to take it easy. I ended up sleeping from 5pm to 9pm. It's going to be hard to get to sleep tonight!

Tomorrow morning I'm starting week 3 of a learn to run program (podcast) at the gym and then FI and I are going to drive down to the U.S. and get some stuff for the OOT bags. :)
Sunday is going to be cleaning the house big-time and family dinner. Pretty slow quiet weekend. Just the way I need it now!

Oh I'm also formalizing everything with the WC at the Shangri-La so that we're all on the same page (picking our cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, flowers, etc.)

Have a great weekend! pinkie.gif

Arhoyaltres -- did you get things sorted out with Secrets Capri...?? What happened with that...? Did they move the other wedding time, or give you some money back...?

(Or was it a DT bride who is now back at DT...?

Kevsgirl -- LOVE the shoes and the BM dresses! ALMOST makes me want to wear heels instead of flip flops:-) But our ceremony AND reception are on the beach...so my blinged-out flip flops it is!:-)

It's Friday night...nearly 10pm...and here I sit at home, making our placecards while my FI plays video games:-)

Exciting lives we lead, non? :-)

I actually got our wedding programs, table numbers and (almost) the placecards done tonight...I ran out of glue...so can't finish tonight:-(

Also, I've asked the WC at my resort, SERIOUSLY, like ten times to let me know what's in some of the different menu options...(e.g., the menu they sent me lists salads like "dreams cancun"...well, that the heck is IN thathuh.gif )...and she STILL has not let me know!! So I can't print out the menus...

aaaaaargh!

All you ladies having partaaaays this weekend -- have fun!!!shots.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
