Yeah...I thought about that. And that's what I might do if it comes to that. But FI and I are a little strapped for cash right now with the house & wedding & christmas so close together. And I almost don't want to just on principal of it!!! I don't think it's my responsibility to pick up the pieces of this mess. But I also want my close friend (and photographer!!) to be there!!

This is a brand new development (I literally received his email 1.5 hrs ago!) so I haven't even been speaking with him. FI also has a friend who may be able to room with him. It's just bullshit that we even have to deal with this. If Chris is there & Eric is not I'm going to be one pissed off bride!!! girl_werewolf.gif

When people started booking for me I did my best to match up the singles so no one had to pay the single rate. (as it sounds you did) Well by BM decided to change plans and arrive on a different day and hadn't even given a thought to her roomy who would be now on the hook for the extra single rate. I politely laid out her options and let her know that it wouldn't be fair that her roommate may have to pay extra for her change and she would have to help with that. I am glad to say my BM decided to fly on the same day as us. Sometimes just laying out the whole situation for everyone helps. Why change anything, leave the rooms as is and get them to change sleeping arrangements. A room for a couple is just the two beds pushed together.

I'm facing a similar situation. My niece is getting married next June and all along I had planned on sharing a room with her sister (my other niece). We travel together and get along great! The problem is, my niece's father (my BIL) doesn't want to go to the wedding - various excuses, depending who you listen to. Now, my sister wants to room with me. That would leave my niece out in the cold, except now her brother (who is in Iraq) wasn't going to go and now he is, so she is going to share a room with him. I looked into the 3 in a room but the room was 2 double beds and I'm not paying all that money to share a room AND a double bed besides.

I want to pay my down payment and my sister is still hemming and hawing about whether her husband is going to go or not. If that happens, then I'm left out in the cold. My niece said I can bring a friend, but I don't want to bring someone to my niece's wedding that she doesn't know. I'm thinking about getting my own room, but it's about $250 more. I really don't want to share a room with my sister because I want to party with my niece and have a good time. My sister is the type that gets up at 6 a.m. and wants everyone to go for a walk on the beach.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
