Hey Jennifer.. Thanks! My bouquet was fake... I bought my bouquet, my bridesmaid bouquet and Pierre's bout at Hibiscusflorals.com I love them... The mayan ceremony was really pretty the Shaman was there with two other person and they gave us a blessing with the 4 elements. At one point we had to drop what was bless (that they put in a little basket) into the ocean... The ceremony was right after the legal one... It was just beside the gazebo. It started after my guests were all seated... We didn't get any break but it was quite fast... It was about 25 minutes. I didn't think my guests would have enjoy it but everybody was really impress with it... If you want more info, let me know :)

Congrats Royfa!!!!I am curious about the mayan ceremony....how much extra is it on top of the legal?....i was thinking about doing the sand ceremony, but if the judge wont allow it, then the mayan ceremony sounds pretty cool...how long were the two ceremony's combined?

The judge allowed the sand ceremony for my wedding. I wonder why they stopped? Of course I had to put the sand ceremony AFTER the legal wedding... but that didn't bug me.

Hey Ladies,

I can't wait to hear all about the weddings that just took place!

I leave on Wednesday so things are getting down to the wire!!

(ok Morgan, calm down with the exclamation points :) )

My question right now is about the Spa. I've heard different things:

I've heard that you cant book until you get to the resort, then I heard that you should book before you arrive.

I've heard they don't use curling irons but rather a flat iron to curl your hair (this doesn't make sense to me) and I also heard that they burned some girls ends.

Then I heard that they were great and there were not problems.

Can anyone help me with this??

Thanks so much.

Oh, and update, I only hear from Jazmin when my TA harasses her, haha. But we are doing dinner and then a DJ and open bar until 11.

My bouquet will be orange roses, my girls will have orange and white flowers.

We're trying to move dinner earlier because my videographer will only be there for 5 hours and I want to make sure there is stuff for him to film besides us killing time between photos and the reception. :)

You ladies have been so helpful. Thanks again

I'd love more information about this, it sounds so unique! Would I just have to ask Jazmin about it when I get there or did you suggest it in advance?

Was there an extra cost?

Thanks so much.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
