I voted! My line was a tad long, but the whole process was only about 20 minutes.

We have the same poll workers every year, and I swear the one lady worked the Lincoln election. That is part of the hold up. But, she is out there volunteering every year, so good for her. I think I'm going to take off next year and do the same.

I am fascinated by this...

How do you actually vote?

We have the scantron, fill-in-the-bubble ballots, but my MOH in TX has a touch screen ballot. With so many systems out there, I can see how it could get confusing!

Also, in order to save money, we no longer get I voted stickers. I feel ripped off! I want my sticker!rant.gif

Listen to this crazy story. My daughter no longer lives with us so I told her to spend the night and we would get up super early to vote. Well she did and we went over to the school to vote. We got there at 6:10 am and there was already a line. My neighbors daughter came with us and we had fun joking around while waiting in line. We get almost to the sign up desk and I ask my daughter if she has her ID. She says "NO I left it at home since I cleaned out my purse" She did have her car payment statement with her address on it and she thought all she needed was something with her address. OMG, I can't believe that child. First, why is she driving a car without her license? Second, if you know you are voting and need an ID, why would you just bring your car payment statement with you? DUH! Then her girlfriend gets up there and all she has is a passport. A passport does not have your address on it. These are 19 and 20 year old girls. It is amazing to me how they make it out of the house on a daily basis! Now they have to go back and stand in line again, Kids! thats all I can say.

I early voted on the first day it was open. it was so convenient. There was a spot on campus, so I just walked over during work. I didn't have to wait at all.

The lady put the "i voted" sticker on me & really rubbed it on. it was a little weird.

when i voted for the primaries, i was offered a flag sticker. I didn't want one because I was on my way home so it was pointless. I didn't want to waste one. Also, someone stuck one on the handle of my car, so I already had one.

it was pretty funny. the person by the door kept insisting i take a flag sticker. i explained all the stuff above, but they wouldn't let up.

we do the scantron-like things here. i believe some counties have touch screen.

I'm so excited the day is finally here!!!

You're in a swing state, too! Those votes are extra important!

I early voted in Texas - touch screen voting pads for us!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
