Who else is obsessed with the election?

I am super excited about Tuesday! I have been following this election for the past two years and it is finally here! Not to mention all of the other issues that are going to be on the ballots. A few years ago the hot issue here in Ohio was the smoking ban. This year the biggest issue seems to be the casino issue. I really want a casino here and I know that it will produce many jobs in the short term and long term; however, they have proposed for it to be built five minutes away from my house! I live in a very rural area and the area they want to build it in is rural. I am still not sure how I feel about this and I only have two more days to decide!

I really cannot wait for it to be over! After the election they will probably be consumed in guessing who the President-elect will pick for his cabinet positions.

I read soooo many websites and blogs sites. I watch too much tv. I always flip between the cable news networks! It seems like all I do is watch tv and listen to our local talk radio shows!

The worst part is I am getting induced on Wednesday and I can't seem to decide what I'm most excited about! LOL... Ok, I guess I know, but still. This is going to be the best week ever!
OMG Karma - that is too funny about the induction LOL!!

I am very obsessed as well. I live in Iowa so we start getting all the political candidates touring the state about six month before the caucus. I am worried about how are local tv stations will make any money once the election is over :-)

I am excited and a little nervous for Tuesday. What will I do with all my time come Wednesday? I guess I do have a wedding to plan :-)

I don't think I can wait any longer. Saturday morning I fell back asleep instead of getting out of bed. I dreamed that Mike put the phone up to my ear & someone told me I that mccain got 40%, Obama got 40% & now they were counting the absentees. hmmm, i wonder who got the 20%? ron paul? nader? the other guy whos name I can't remember?

anyway, i woke up in a panic that I could not wait for the absentee ballots to be counted. I could not wait another day to know the outcome of the election.

I am totally obsessed. It is really odd, but my canadian stepson that just moved down here is really obsessed too. They are doing a mock vote on the 4th. So, in their history class they have been debating back and forth. He is so Pro McCain it's hilarious. He has debates with me in the car. He is only 12 so I love that he is so enthused about it all no matter what his vote is.

I'm so obsessed too! I keep wishing I had to work tomorrow & Tues so that time would go faster and it'd just be over already! I want to know who won!

Plus I just saw Obama live & in the flesh like 2 hours ago and OMG... I loved him before he started his run for president (I have SERIOUS thing for smart guys) and that just cemented it.

FI and I are totally obsessed...our TIVO is so overwhelmed with all our shows because we've only been watching CNN and all the other news stations for the past month. I so can't wait until tomorrow night - we're going to a potluck election party as well and think it'll be a blast! and i've already got my alarm set for 5am tomorrow so I can hit the polls early...

uh ya Alyssa- I've got the bug bad. I actually want to discuss it with people all the time, but I don't want to seem pushy with my views, so I mostly just fill poor Steve's ear with my chatter. LOL

I've been obsessed with pretty much every election I've been able to vote in. So it's always fun.

I've worked for a casino for the last 8 years. We have been located in a tiny community for 13. If you have any questions about how it can affect your community- good and bad, just pm me. :) I do have one question though- is this for a state operated casino?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
