Neen, I know it's not exactly what you wanted but it looks FANTASTIC on you. You look fabulous! Unfortuantely, like everything else I guess you gotta just go with the flow. Don't put anymore stress on yourself by looking for another dress. That's the last thing you need to deal with.

thanks for the dress support ladies!

FYI - i decided to order my table overlays and chair bows from efavormart rather going with the resort's vendor because their prices are rodontulous. efavormart had my colors (blue and green) and the organza overlays are only $4.99 vs the resort's $18 and the chair bows are few dollars less as well. I figure this is the safest bet both money-wise and resort-wise since we're still not sure we'll even be able to have our wedding at DT sad.gif

i'm going to do blue overlays and chair bows for the reception dinner and green overlays for the cocktail hour tables. I think I'll mix blue and green chair bows for the ceremony (and green overlay for the ceremony table).

Also, do a search for Capt. Ricks fishing charters in this thread. Neen recommended them to me and they have been wonderful to work with and their prices are really reasonable! We booked a charter for the guys the day before the wedding.

Hi ladies,

I just got engaged last week so I am super excited to get started on planning my wedding!! I am still torn on whether or not to have it away at DT or another resort.

Could some of you let me know what the average price your guests paid to attend your weddings. That may be a big factor in my decision to have my wedding away or not. Most of my guests would be flying in from NJ/NY and Hawaii.

Thanks for any help.

Joanna

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
