Recommended Posts

Hey i have never been to Punta Canta before and would like some insight on the night life out there. Some people say there isnt anynight life and some say there is. There is going to be singles and people in there early 20's who im sure are going to want to party off the resort at night does anyone know of any hot spots? thanks everyonesmile03.gif

Last time I've been to DR was about 5 years ago. I was there with 2 of my girlfriends and we went to party at a club that is in another resort then where we were staying. It was pretty neat, they had 2 floors; 1 for latin music and 1 for european dance music. I honestly can't remember the name of the place but, it was pretty neat. I know for a fact that the RIUs in Punta Cana have a disco that is accessible to everyone, even locals.

DR is deffinitely nothing like Cancun in terms of night life but, there are places around to go and party. I'm sure once you're there, you could ask at the front desk and they will even call a taxi for you:)

Many of the resorts have discos right on their properties which are quite fun. And like others said, some are open to the public as well. However in that case you have to watch, because at some the AI option might not apply in the clubs. So you'll pay to drink.

I also had a great time at Mangu, but I must have gone there 3-4 years ago. Lots of people, but not overly crowded to the point where you can't move. Crowd I would say was mostly early 20's to early 30's. Would definitely recommend it.

  • 2 months later...

Try Mangu (2 levels like everyone mentioned.. downstairs is latin & upstairs is House).. Try Imagine (it's a club literally in cave.. i mean, like i saw a bat.. haha, but it's very cool!).. cafe montecarlo which is in the shops by the paradisus palma real.. the club @ the Riu, which is called Pacha, is actually pretty popular too..

Jellyfish is mostly a restaurant.. not really a club..

hope that helps! those are going to be your best options.. for other places it would probably be best only if you knew a local to accompany your group..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
