I just emailed Nancy to let her know I would like to switch to chivary chairs. The chairs I originally chose were $12each and an additional $5 for the pink organza ribbon tied on the back. I'm not concerned about the money, I just prefer the chivary and would have never known about it w/o lenkas word.

Lomas is doing themselves a HUGE disservice by not posting all of the options/amenities and I am personally super annoyed with the whole situation. I just want to be there and married all ready so I never have to wait hopelessly for another email from these unprofessional jerks again.

I emailed Fabio asking if they could provide Chivary chairs, and that's how I found out. There was no info about them anywhere on Lomas's site. I was also told that any colored tablecloths are available, and will have to be quoted based on our color selection, availability and the table size.

Amy, glad I was able to help. Ooooh, just had an idea - the Chivary chair w/a pink organza ribbon tied on the back would look great!

I agree about the Lomas website. It is so hard to know what they have available or what you can get if you ask about it. And even if you get a color for a tablecloth, then there are so many types of fabrics and looks after that. It's frustrating!

I think that we should post it all on this link when we find out about what's available (i.e. chairs, tablecloths, ribbons, flowers, candles, lanterns, etc). Because if you look on Lomas, there is the traditional stuff, but doesn't mean that it what we want for our wedding.

So girls, when you find stuff out about availability and pricing. Please post so we can help each other out

I agree, it will be difficult to choose a fabric over email w/o seeing what it looks like in person. What I am planning on doing to make the tablecloth situation a little easier, is going with Sensatori's plain white tablecloths and then renting colored sheer organza tablecloths at home and bringing them with me. The organza tablecloths will be light, so they wouldn't be hard to pack. And, since you need a liner under organza as it is, I think it will look nice with a white tablecloth under.

I was looking at that too. But couldn't find ones that I liked. What colors are you going with? What color organza are you going with? Are you talking about the sheer overlays like this?

that's a great idea... my plan is to use brown tablecloths from Sensatori and making teal runners and bringing those down with me... and renting the bronze chivary chairs... i wish i could just get a quote as to how much this would cost... it's so hard to work with a budget when everything is up in the air smile105.gif

Please let us know about pricing when you find out about the brown tablecloths and/or brown napkins

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
